1) I just posted in the Sins of a Solar Empire / General forum I'm pretty sure. I can see my post in my Watch List. It says it's in the 'Sins of a Solar Empire' forum. But when I click that link, I do not see it. 2) When I look at the General forum, I see a 'Pinned Posts' section, and a 'Recent Active Posts' sections. But how do I see a post that is not 'Pinned' and not 'Recent Active'? Snacko

Ok, so far I found the Ctrl-Shift-Z key combo to Hide the User Interface for good screenshots. I also found the Alt key Shows the Grid, Phase Lanes, and other stuff.... Why aren't these keys documented in the Key Bindings? Or Manual? (Well, they probably aren't in the manual because this kind of info goes on a Key Card. But since we don't get a Key Card with the regular game... Ugg...) X-( Anyhow, are their any other
Instead of renaming each .bik file I renamed the folder containing them, bit faster to do.
Let us know how that works for you. For me, the Game Menu would not display, until I clicked on the screen at least twice. Snacko
Since when is a pdf key reference card premium content? When the game comes in a nice metal box, that's premium content. A t-shirt, artbook, or spiral bound manual are premium content. Withholding the keycard from the non-collectors edition is just insulting.
I totally agree. I think this is a first in the gaming industry. And a big mistake by the publishers. So, I guess one of us is going to have to take the time to make a key card and share it with eve
I bought mine at BestBuy. So, I don't get a keycard I can just print myself for the game? Sorry, but that is just stupid. I hope they just post something... :(
Was a keycard supposed to come in the box with this game? I did not have one. Or, is there a .pdf or some other keycard that I can print, other than doing screenshots of the Options/Key Bindings in the game? Snacko
Ahh.. Thanks. I did that, and it sends me an email that you posted in this forum. But the email has this link: http://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/?aid=133250 when it should use this link. I just copied and pasted the '?aid=133250' part of the link on the forums link and it did take me right here. http://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?aid=133250
Does anybody have any other ideas on getting the game to load faster? The first thing to do is to turn off the game's main Intro Movie by going to: 'Options/Cinematic/Show Opening Cinematic' and unchecking the checkbox. But the StarDock, IronClad, and Sins Logo movies still play. These are probably playing at the same time the game is loading in the background, and not slowing it up too much on faster computers. But on slower computers it seems it would help speed up the
Thanks Annatar11. I did find the folder, but not at that path. I found it here: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire You were missing the Local Settings folder in your path. Thanks, Snacko
Anyone using these?
Yes, I was on there with Multianna last night. I'm just learning the game and since the first Basic Tutorial was missing, I was having a little problem with a few of the basics. Multianna was very helpful in answering my few questions when they came up. I think this is a good place to gather if it's just to help you listen to others and maybe as a question if you get stuck. ;p ~S~ Snacko <b
I have been able to disable logo and cinematic intros in many games, usually by setting a flag, or just renaming the files so the game cannot find them. Many games will skip files/movies they cannot find. I'm runnng XP. Snacko
Ahh.. Spartan, your memory is old and wise my friend. :CONGRAT: And don't forget my good friend Quake.
Yes, there is a vertical and a horizontal mouse reverse checkboxes. Also, a Rotate view checkbox. When checked, hold down both mouse buttons and move your mouse right/left to rotate the view.
How do you tell this forum to send you an email notification when someone replies to a thread you have posted in? :p I don't get any emails, and i don't see anywhere to turn that option on.
Where do you put the replays once you've downloaded them? Also, is there anyway to get rid of the intro & logo movies when the game starts? I disabled the cinimatic entrance video in the options, but the logo movies still loaded. So, I renamed the StardockLogo.bik and IroncladLogo.bik files to .bikxxx, and now they no longer play, but the screen is just blank.... until... I click on it once or twice. Is there a better way to skip these movies? ~S~
My Quisp Avatar could beat up any of your Sins Avatars. :HOT: He would just spin his propeller at full quisp speed and grind you all up. ;p ~S~ Snacko
Thanks for this post Annatar11. I'll give this a try.... :d
Hmm... Well glad to see this post, so I know I'm not crazy, as I also am missing the tutorial instructions in the first Basic Tutorial. I sat there wondering how this could be a tutorial. Am I supposed to figure it out myself? That would be a totally new kind of tutorial for me. Well, this game looks great anyhow. And as a developer, I know how much stuff goes into something like this. But to release a game with a missing Basic Tutorial to a huge audience of noobs like me i

Both say what I said, it's release date is today: 2/4/2008.
It usually takes a day after the release for the stores to get it too, so either tmrw or the next day. My review is that I is not available at either GameStop or BestBuy. Both stores looked it up in their computers and said it comes out on 2/5/2008, not Today 2/4/2008! It's not on their shelves and their release date is different. :SNIFF!: Snacko
