I know the title is very much an oxymoron, how can one have a true gaming rig in something small and portable... Just boggles the mind, however with my new recent employment portable is the only way to go. And I figure if I am going to be mainstaying to a laptop for the next twenty years I might as well start it off with a bang. So my question to all you enlightened ones in the fields of computer technology which company, route, or avenue I should pursue for that damn fine but afordable

Have the requirements gone up Yarlen or still the same?
Hopefully all these pretty pictures don't mean the PC Requirments went up.
It gives the game a more mature look.
The TEC now look Human, are they Human? With the cartoon characters they kinda looked elfish.
Schematicsninja its more like this: Advent Commander - Marco! TEC Commander - ...polo... Advent Commander - Marco! TEC Commander - ...... Advent Commander - Fish out of water.
Great job Yarlen at both being vague and informative. But you have to understand that we know you want Sins to be the best it can be, but it can't be that without the communities involvement in the beta process. The whole idea of a beta is to allow outside influence to improve upon a product. Their is only one game that I know of that the producers waited to release it until it represented itself in a good way in their minds. That game is called Space Empires V, and its one of the most bugged ga
Don't even say that. Tho I could see that as a April fools joke.
How about we wait for the Beta before we pass judgment on it. And I am sure the developers will listen to people's concerns when they release the Beta.
I agree with mikeyjcl, SupCom is not Sins of a Solar Empire. I am more interested in the release date of the Sins beta then the release of SupCom.
Diplomacy is cool and fascinating, but so much more fascinating if diplomacy is done at the barrel of TEC Gauss Cannon. I won't lie I will back-stab many allies in my quest for galactic domination.
Those Advent ships look stunning. Please tell us how close we are to the beta, instead of teasing us with beautiful screenshots.
I believe the movement of the turrets just adds to the whole experiance. It makes it more realistic if you will.
If they start pushing quad core, then I hope microsoft sends them to hell with the xbox effect. I am not buying a quad core just to play a game. Quad Core time is not here, and better not be needed anytime soon. I am not going to have to spend $2500 just to play a game.
But Its still in Feburary right Yarlen?
Hint to the release date of the beta Frogboy?
Please release the beta before the 20th, because once that date arives its Crackdown.
I would the like option to turn on the ability to allow the turrets to move, one of the reason I loved Homeworld 1 & 2, is because of the turret animation.
Wouldn't mind setting the date to the release of the beta?
I wasn't sure how to title this topic, but heres the question; Do the turrets on the starships move... like Homeworld 2 turrets? I apologize if this has been asked before, but I just realized that I couldn't find any information on this.
Just Pre-ordered, received an email with a pre-order reference number. Is this all we receive as of yet? The Email was a little vague, am I supposed to do something with the number?
Thanks for the info Multianna, is their a definite date that the beta is being released this month? I would like to know if I should preorder today or if I can wait a bit.
I have been waiting for a game like SOASE for a long time, my question is do I need to pre-order before the BETA is released to get into it. And will my comp meet minimum specs: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (2.0Ghz) 1GB Ram Nvidia Geforce 6800 AGP 128
thks for the info Psyringe.
Quick question, if i pre-order after march 24, can i still be able to participate in the beta?
