It's scripted.

They'll be skinned if/when this is in a public build.
Nevermind, I see. Will look into it. New build will be out Sunday, with notification icon support & several bug fixes. Thanks, Ian
Why are you unable to switch skins?
Had you switched PocketBlinds to nav bar skinning only? Was the nav bar skinned? Was the new button on the today screen skinned?
Boy, if I only had an infinite amount of time to work on PB, I'd do a lot Custom shell icons & skinnable notification icons may be a possibility(depends how much of the functionality I can hack out, it may just be that PB will just show what the shell would normally show. I have 90% working scrollbars(they work like the old WB scrollbars, so not on combobox lists or other parentless windows), maybe the
Hi Doreen, Yes, it's normal. The volume menu is PB's own creation, whereas the popup notification is the normal one. I'm cooking up some shell integration stuff(for catching custom navbar text and notification icons in the nav bar area), and there's some stuff I can hook to skin the bubble notification windows. It will not be until everything with this build is happy, and I have the task manager nicer, _and_ I've got the other shell stuff in though <img src="http://images.stardock.com/ima
Juni, What apps have buttons that are not being skinned? Buttons are not always buttons. What device are you running on, and do you have any special hardware hooked up(pcmcia video card/etc)?
The money is to cover the cost of the dvd codecs, etc..
The update posted a little over a week ago fixes the MCP issues. Jack, I'm not sure what's up with your configuration, were you able to get the zip open? -Ian
There is a name confusion. The MCPServer is not even a product, it's basically a process that upcoming products will use to do things that have overlap. (For example, rather than having code & memory consumption by 10 different apps to do something, the code is implemented in the MCP instead). Currently the MCPServer implements a hook chain that allows us to have less system hooks in use. SmartException is dependant on MCPServer. So basically, MCPServer has nothing to do with that page you
This morning I was able to find the 9x crash issue(related to the same code as the earlier problems, dealing with MCP's RPC stuff). Please download the updated code from http://www.stardock.com/temp/mcprefresh.zip and extract to your program files\common files\stardock\smartexception directory. You may need to unload mcpserver.exe first(note that you won't see it in the task list on 9x). To unload the mpcserver, simply bring up a dos prompt, navigate to your program files\common files\stardoc
Hi, If any of you are having problems after installing the .66b build, please check the date and time of the MCP/Smartexception files in your Program Files\Common Files\Stardock\SmartException directory. They should be: 07/22/2002 09:52 AM 53,760 MCPClient.dll 07/22/2002 09:52 AM 59,904 MCPServer.exe 07/22/2002 09:54 AM 122,880 SmartEx.exe 07/22/2002 09:53 AM 83,968 SmartEx.dll If the dates do not match, delete the

SharpE is a complete shell replacement for explorer. It allows you to replace your default tasbar, system tray, and desktop with a completely new system. sharpE includes many different enhancements of explorer, such as plugins, color schemes, custom icons for applications, customizabl
DesktopX is not a shell, shell deveopment isn't really that great of an idea as you keep having to catch up to MS.
Two questions: Monster Truck Madness..requires Direct3D. Your pictures with MDI applications replicate our MDI skinning bug on XP. If these are concept shots that's cool, but you really shouldn't go around saying you've got something if you haven't got it :/ -Ian
Not to be rude.. But is this a few apps in VB, or a real live operating system? 42 bits is quite an odd number to throw out there. Are you meaning support for virtual 42 bit registers, 42 bit graphics(non-existent), or? The screenshot with the desktop listview had the shadowing as the XP desktop has(with common controls 6.0), and I've my doubts about you already having the win32 API implemented and full DirectX support. What gives?
They're promising future PocketPC 2002 compatibility(the notification issues..), but this is a problem PocketBlinds also has. It's difficult to modify the import table of other processes.
I'd just like to comment that the other 80% of bugs come from things like nanotechnology. Yeees. Bugs so tiny they're able to mask themselves as computer instructions. In fact I think I may have discovered the source of their programming. They come from the m... [CURIOUS DEVELOPER #432554054042 HAS BEEN ASSIMILATED]
