If low-income families were given a bit of help, maybe an additional one-time tax credit or something (I'm not from Europe and am largely ignorant of how things work there), I think many of them would be interested in getting a vehicle that was more environmentally friendly and less expensive to operate. But telling a poor fellow to buy a new car or suffer a tax increase seems a little unreasonable. If someone is hurting financially, it's going to look like a rock and a hard place.

Seriously. I want to give you my money for this upcoming fantasy game you've got in the works, even though it may only be on the drawing board at the moment. I love Master of Magic, Dominions 3, Warlords, Age of Wonder(s) ... and I want it. Everything I've heard about it in interviews makes me drool. I want it more than Spore. More than Fallout 3. More than any MMO. I'll even pay for it before it has a title. You can bill me for "Nameless Fantasy Game" and I won't care. Just give me a

I'm really looking forward to Fallout 3 (although I admit I didn't much care for Oblivion, despite loving Morrowind), Spore, and Diablo 3 (who knows when that'll come out though). The game I'm most looking forward to is the not-yet-announced mystery 4X fantasy TBS from Stardock, but I'm not expecting that until 2009 or later. I'm kinda burned out on online gaming at the moment, but I'll probably pick Lich King. I hate WoW, but the wife loves it (mostly) and unless Warhammer Online is b

Yeah, I'm a little confused. Why is Fallout 2 OK, but Fallout 3 gets rejected? I guess that's the point you're making, and I agree that it's ridiculous. I live in Florida, and although I'm outnumbered by a very vocal anti-gaming crowd, I do what I can to write letters (even made a phone call last year) to the legislative leadership encouraging a more reasonable approach to games as a whole. If enough people do this, I think it'll make an impact. Games can be art, and censorship doesn't

SWG sure isn't the prime competitor for WoW. AoC has sold like 700,000 copies, hasn't it? I played SWG before the NGE. The wife and I enjoyed it, especially the whole housing thing and player cities. The dogfighting was kind of fun. The cantina was awesome, usually, especially when most of the entertainer-types were not AFK. I was a smuggler, and although I never could smuggle, I liked the game. Then came the NGE. Lost all interest after that, and I'm not coming back. How can I

You have any sources for this information or are you just generalizing and furthering a ridiculous stereotype? Pirates are human beings like you. Some are stupid. Some are freeloaders. Some are extremely intelligent. Some pirates buy a huge quantity of games each year, legally. Piracy has even helped a certain TV show make it big. In other words, they aren't all idiots that would never consider The Big Picture. I'm not saying that piracy is "right" or "wrong" -- nor do I really

Hello! I'm in the same boat as you are. I love GC2 and I'm a big fan of the great developer interaction that Stardock brings. Gameplay + that old school feel (great depth and a great experience) + new technology = one happy me. I know I'll at least try the game out for a few months once it's released, and if time permits I'll play it until I'm not allowed to anymore <img src="http://images.stardock.com/Society/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 AL

I'm guessing C++ is a long way from what I'm learning (C# .NET); working at Stardock would be totally cool. I would move from Florida. Ah well. Good luck finding more quality developers! Oh yeah, I agree with MadMagnus! That would be awesome!

Whoa, who said we were all gonna be about mindless praise? I was only displaying my approval for the open nature of the development team. I've loved the beta releases I have been able to play. Perfect? Uh... nothing is perfect. I know GalCiv 2 will have flaws. I think we all know that... but what's wrong with being enthusiastic about a somewhat rare trait in the development team? And why be angry because we enjoy the game (at least the beta)? <br/

I'm just a newb at C# (seriously, I've only been playing with it for a couple of days), but I wish I could help you. The link says you are using .NET 2.0(beta), are you still using the Beta or have you downloaded the more recent full version of .NET 2 and C# Express? I know, I'm no help. I'm pretty sure I would be useless to you right now though. Let me get through my courses and then we'll talk <img src="http://images.stardock.com/tgNET/s

They did show up at CES in January. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/01/11/atom_chip_at_ces/ They didn't let anyone touch the gear, though. Figures. No way to know, although most of the experts doubt their claims. *shrug* The AtomChip guys say they are going to have it verified by an independent testing group (no specifics). I doubt it, but I wouldn't say it's 100% impossible.
