Way to go Jalicos... I have to agree. and just think of it... drm makes people believe a pirated copy of some russian server, cracked by god knows who, is safer than a legit copy. But again for th lost revenue. Say I'm in a nostalgic mood, and just watched an old Disney movie ad now want to play a little battleship like that Treasure Planet game. So I'd get a pirated copy, play for like 20minutes (hell it's crap for longer) and delete it again. I certainly wouldn't have paid 50 bucks for that s

To whoever said, that it wasn't a damn thing to have to go online every ten days, to authenticate somethin you already own: How about less fortunate people who don't ave a flatrate connection and have to pay for the minute? Will they get a refund from EA for the costs? And what if the servers are down in like 10 years? Think Starcraft, but without the great support from Blizzard (meaning = EA)Wouldn't it be better for a game like Spore to use one time auth like Sins to get pollinated content?

Hey there... actually I am growing tired of all this pro ID stuff. Here I offer a compromise: There is antibiotics. Take penicillin. Due to the fact ( you know the BAD word) of random mutation those nasty little bacteria buggers have evolved (thnks to the fact that they multiple like every few hours and not every few decades like we do) to a state where they actually are immune to that ol' penicillin, we would die of the simplest of infections wouldn't it be for research of ever new antibiotics.

Hey everyone... I hope i didn't poke into a nest of wasps when quoting Abiogenesis. just wanted to answer the question. And for forgiven.... how about random convergence? Think of basic atoms wabbling around and buming into each other.... and if they like each other perhaps the will make a nice little molecule...

how did life begin? well because a bunch of protoaminoacids bunked together to form the firsts stransd of DNA... there that's how it started. The question how: In the natural sciences, abiogenesis, the question of the origin of life, is the study of how life on Earth might have emerged from non-life. Scientific consensus is that abiogenesis occurred sometime between 4.4 billion years ago, when water vapor first liquefied,[2] and 2.7 billion years ago, when the ratio of stable i

A little post to Uranium 235.... Actually I grew up in Germany so no Fox News there... nd I have studied cosmology and astrophysics since I was 15. That's roughly 10 years. And just because someone recants his theory (Think Galilei) doesn't mean it's wrong. So please stay focused here.
Yeah, you can't also prove gravity 100%, or did you let fall everything all the time? No, I don't think so. We don't "prove" things in science. We only hypothesize, then experiment and finally theorize. No proving in there.
actually you do prove or rather disprove. Since proving would indeed mean to try everything, you rather search for hints to disprove a certain assumption. Let me just say. Water flows upstream. Instead of showing you every ri

And don't get me wrong. I still think that deriving something scientific from the Bible, a book with great stories (New Testament) and not so great ones (Old Testament) written to explain things science of the time couldn't, and of course enforce law and order in a time where law enforcement as such didn't exist, is demented. That doesn't mean that the creation of the universe at a starting point, couldn't have been an intelligent act as such. Of course it could still be the last fortress of hum

Thanks elias001. And why can't evolution be ID, too? The concept of evolution is awesome. A process of constant self-improvement? Independently? I think that is so ingenious.. why can't that be an intelligent design? (For you IDs out there) Just because it's random? It even isn't. It is defined by specific parameters. Certain traits get singled out cause they are better. Better is good. You don't get eaten. And there you are. We even evolved to a stage where we can leave this world, to evade a d

Thats right they are not NEARLY AS OBVIOUSLY ludicrous... that is the whole problem. I think that christians can be scientists. My parents are... I just don't think that ID Christians can be scientists, cause it's just not a science. It's belief.

Ah and by the way... I do believe in God and will ever... but what about a cosmological standpoint... God created the universe by initiating the big bang and then put up his feet and thought... wow, gotta watch how this turns out. (That is actually the viewpoint of many leading cosmologists and quantum physicists)

Some of those arguments pro ID... what proof is there? what theories? Oh wait I have it figured out... What if the bible said that thunder is actually the sound of god farting? That is my theory. There's proof even. It's coming from up above (HEAVEN!) After lightning and thunder the air smells nice (surely one of gods farts are vastly superior to ours therefore smelling nice). There you got it. What do you science heretics say? A closing vaccuum? Can you see that? Oh no... and my argument is IN

Hi there, I don't know exactly if I'm missing something, but the Drain Planet is really well, not there- The manual tells of a vortex. Could anyone post a vid or animated gif or something of the Evacuator in action? Or is it supposed to be that unspectacular ( I remember a chatlog about a vortex with flying debris)....

I would have to contradict. Recently I got spammed by 50+ carrier cruisers (playing advent) and i got pawned for good. I had like 30 defenders, but they seemed virtually ineffective. One might think, that the other party would be helpless when solely relying on fighters versus flaks. But wasn't so.

I found my problem. Unknowingly I created an Artifact on one planet that was not written correctly. As it seems that Sins loads maps right at the start you get an error. When I deleted my custom map and loaded the old version, everything was alright again. Checked by loading new one and Bingo got the error again. Deleted it, and working. As for random errors, could it be that the random map generator produces such errors?

Found reason but no explanation. Apparently it is due to my galaxy forge map. I played it for two days now, but for whatever reason I can't even load it into the Forge anymore. Will create error too. Here's what the Forge says: (please excuse German comments) System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException: Eine externe Komponente hat eine Ausnahme ausgelöst. bei new[](UInt32 ) bei Iron.DynamicVector ,1>.SetMaxSize(DynamicVector<Iron::FixedString

Hi, strangest thing happened. Played Sins since :) release now and this evening, all of a sudden i got a Visual C++ Runtime error when trying to start the game. Did not change a thing. Ideas?

Hey guys, i just released the final version of my first map that i tweaked quite a bit. It makes strategic use of wormhole connections between star systems. It's a 1vs1 as of now, but I can increase it to 1vs1vs1vs1 or 2vs2 if you like it. Please try it and tell me what you think. You can download it via the official map download link at the top.
