No working weather docklet for many years now, mate. That is something you have to find another way to get. However, both Win10 and 11 have some sort of weather widget in the taskbar, not very good, but there if you want it. It only works, I think, if you log you account in with M$ and not on your local machine. It isn't a patch on Objeck Dock's weather docklet, I really miss it, but it is either that or you get Accuweather's own widget for your desktop, but, and don't quote me, I think it is

Agreed, please do a new version for Win 11, I'd buy it again, and for Pete's Sake, PLEASE get the weather docklet working again. What p**ses me off is that no work has been done on Object Dock since 2017, it is essentially abandonware, yet you still ask for product key or ask for a purchase of it even when you do nothing for it now. Update, maintain, make a new version, fix weather docklet API, then it is worth real money, but not as it is. Sad...

rjdriver, Accuweather has informed me that they are not currently working on developing any fix between them and Weather Docklet. You can assume that this is now a dead parrot. Sorry.

Thanks, LightStar, I did try it, but for some reason, the weather dock on it doesn't like European weather. Didn't work at all. Anyway, I DO like ObjectDock just fine - the thread was to inform folks that there is no use writing more threads on the weather docklet - support for it has been withdrawn from both sides, so there is nothing to be done. However, it is good if people offer alternatives to weather docklet here. I am not sure Stardock will appreciate though offering alternativ

Perhaps, Gaspers, the moans should be heard - it is a release, a ventil, and allows people to express their dissatisfaction. You seem keen on locking threads for some reason. Solution - stop reading the thread and let the people express themselves. And the point is valid - SD still sells OD, yet no longer supports it nor states on on the sales pages that it is not supported. Naturally, this makes people frustrated when something goes awry. I suspect that each time a thread on the weat

Well, I DO think, once you get used to the environment, that Win10 will be a better experience for you. Also, M$ no longer offers active support for win7. Just watch out for the security settings - you can end up telling the world a lot of things you may not wish to tell them.....

Oh, I would say most people find the ObjectDock works fine on Win10 - it certainly does for me, but selling it rather than offering it as freeware, unsupported, implies a contract with the buyer for a supported piece of software. Sell it and say in big letters on the sales page "Caveat Emptor, this is a product no longer under development, but we will provide "limited" support for users on Win7/8", might be more honest, or simply offer it for free and let it be. Just be moral about it. I susp

"There are no imminent releases pending for ObjectDock at this time." has been interpreted by me and I think most readers of that post to refer to ObjectDock itself, and not refer to any quick fixes for any of the docklets, and most every comment in that thread that followed that post supports this misapprehension... Thank you for clarifying and unclear statement. And again I suggest that if it IS abandonware, why not let the community at large take a crack at making a fix for the doc

Actually AZDude, I would like you to find me that statement as I don't recall anyone out and out stating that there is no plan to fix the docklet, only that it will be looked into - if you do find that statement, I apologize, because, despite reading all the posts about the Weather Docklet, I never came across it. However, if you are officially now stating that there is no intention to fix it, thanks, at least we now know. Why not give the program and scripts out to the freeware communi

Junior Crooks, reply #39 and 43 say just that. However, perhaps you are right and I take the various carping and advocation of other Docks systems to indicate cessation of usage where there is none. What we all agree on is that if possible a fix to the problem, which is very recent for all of us, would be appreciated, and we would all welcome an update to ObjectDock itself if someone at SD is willing to take up the baton. Heck, I would happily pay for a good upgrade to it. Out

Guys, if you stopped using ObjectDock, then more power to you, but to come on the forum, complain about the Dock, then say it doesn't matter 'coz I've switched, well, that is kindofa cop-out. Either you are here asking for a solution from Stardock or you are not - saying "yeah, I liked it a while back, but I don't use now, so please fix it, but I am still using something else" sort of sends mixed messages, doesn't it? I would like a fix. I would like to see someone take up the banner

The problem is, AzDude, not that Objectdock is not supported on Win 10 (and WHY is that, may I ask? Why is a good and well liked application now abandonware?) but that in the last few days, a part of the dock that was working perfectly well up until then on Win 10 is no longer working - ObjectDock itself works just fine still, but the weather docklet has ceased to be able to update - this has to do with how you fetch the info from Accuweather, not any problem with the ObjectDock in itsel

Every time I try to update virtual desktops the download stops with a checksum error. What gives? I have removed the download, removed the original osftware, doen everythingI cna to reset this, but I still get checksum error. Why is it not either fixed or not offered then?

I know that there is a 4dwm blind for window blinds ( I use it), but has anyone yet thought of or sucessfully made a full theme, including right-click, icon sets, taskbar, toolchest, virtual desktops, etc? Finding a way to emulate the wonderful Indigo Magic desktop would be F.A.B., so if anyone out there is interested in doing so, let me know. (and as for why I can't do it is simple - total kludge when it comes to this sort of thing). There is a project out there called 5DWM for Linux - the tool
