Not real major, but when trying to use an item (healing potions) there isn't much feedback on if you used it or not. That number is pretty tiny. I think a pop up asking if you want to use it, or that you have used it, would be nice.

+1. I would love to see the gal civ movement system dropped in...and I love that autoexplore made it in.
Hear hear! The gal civ method works great for me....right now Elementals turn reports are just messy (yes, its a beta)....
Well, I don't play games like Galactic Civ, MOM, Etc to get to the exciting end game cut scene. The fun for me is in the game itself. Sure, its a total hoot being able to place my score into the metaverse, but I'm not playing 40 hours of Gal Civ in a huge galaxy so I can whip through it fast. I like the idea of "Sophisticated" with an ai will manage it choice. I liked it when the planetary govenors showed up on gal civ, I could use them or not. Maybe Lords of t
Well, I just love it. One of the problems I have with AOW is that after a few hundred games its: "OH, here comes that unit again." Being able to do this will allow me to mess with it endlessly and give me a ton of replay value. One of the reasons I'm a stardock fan is the depth I can, or at my option not, take the game to. I love the auto design in gal civ 2 since at some points in the game when I'm cranking out huge units I don't want to mess with 50 planets to adju
Oh yeah. Definately in. It was hard to stop playing Galciv 2 long enough to order, but its been done ;). My friends and I still play Age of Wonders Shadow magic in a league, and all of us think those discs are gonna get dusty as soon as the beta hits. Is there a way to know if we preordered in time to get in on the initial beta? I'm willing to submit a resume as a die hard stardock fan!
I'm flat out drooling. The possibilites mean replayability will go through the roof. Preordered and climbing the walls waiting fot the beta!
AOW Shadow Magic. I still play it several times a month, until of course Stardock has a fantasy turn based game come out :). You defintately want to get the fan patch you can get from just about any of the fan sites. I've played all three versions heavily, but SM stands out as the most balanced and repetably playable version IMHO. I was totally addicted to MOM as well, and I agree that game had some superior aspects (finding more spell books springs to mind).
After 15 games, I can't remeber an AI opponent *ever* picking a side. Which makes the technologies giving you bonuses for other ethics a total waste. I've even traded a tech for lots of money to make sure they could afford it, then traded them xeno ethics. Nothing. Anyone else ever get them to go one way or the other? They always *act* like they know (good tends to attack evil, etc) but they are always just "leaning good" or evil; they never select it.
*sigh* lets try to post that again. I can't seem to get the ship designer to update engines. I have stellar folders, but it still keeps designing ships with 1 parsec a turn movement! There is a slider for weapons and defense focus; is there one for engines I don't know about?
OK, I love the ship designer as I have no artistic talent and my ships are usually the base hull with weapons and engines stuck on. I especially like it to design new ships as I get new tech so I can just have planets kick out upgraded models without having to mess with it. However, it never seems to upgrade the engines; the vast majority of the designs are stuck at one parsec, no matter that I have stellar folders! We've got sliders for how to do sheilds and weapons...is ther
So does this build fix the pathfinding error? Or just the serial number problem? I should also note; the pathfinding error is happening in large galaxies too. It makes it close to unplayable; every ship needs to be moved by hand for short distances each turn.
