I've noticed this as well. For me it is trying to jump a fleet containing a capital and some frigates. If the Cap is the highlighted leader of the fleet, it will be the only one to heed the jump order. If I switch the highlight to one of the frigates then they will all jump as should be. This has been consistent for me so far through two of the races.

I agree about the RT4X not being a totally original concept, but I haven't really seen it presented to the player in the fashion that Sins does. After looking at screenshots of it, looks closer to GC1 graphics wise than anything current. Definately not in the same league as Sins.
