It's not out in Canada yet. Still waiting. And waiting. And waiting.

I agree with avoiding EB Games, they suck hard. But when the developer charges more for the online download version, it's just screwed up. This should cost LESS to download. And when they are located in Canada and want to charge some insane amount for shipping, almost half the cost of the original purchase, it just makes you shake your head. Hint to developers: use logic. Don't make business deals that will hurt your end customers. See Flagship with the EA fiasco, or the dozen of other
All three. But the mother board is typically tied to the CPU, can't really upgrade that too easily without getting a new motherboard, which these days, would typically mean new RAM also. Best would be to double your RAM to 2GB, it will make a huge difference, and upgrade your video card to something more modern, maybe in the $250 price range, if you can afford that. But with at least 512MB, but don't get the crap model just because of the RAM it has, other factors of the video card are
Still no sign of it in Canada. (:( Retail is the suck, but I don't want to pay an insane shipping fee and the same price for a download as it is for the boxed copy.
But this is the Canada whining thread. Not Africa or Europe or Australia. Make your own country thread for whining. :p Canada, still waiting for it.
And they said they were ready for launch day. Not even available in stores. (:(
Maybe this is one of those games a strategy guide and instructions might actually be useful.
Hopefully they fix this, because there is no reason to limit any one from playing against any one else in the world, especially in English speaking countries. This one gets the LAME stamp of disapproval.
I wish more games would have dual monitor support. In fact, I have yet to play one that I enjoy that has it. Although having two monitors does allow me to watch things or browse the net while playing a game, or like World of Warcraft, run two copies of the game at once and play both characters at the same time. So even if they don't support it, having two LCD's is still useful.
Yup. They had stores saying the release was Feb 4th. They were accepting pre-orders and taking your money. Now, when it comes time to deliver, no game on release day. Normally, at least where I am in Canada which is a city that gets all the American stuff the same day (because I'm just five minutes south of Detroit), so why we aren't getting this the same day as everything else, is beyond me. This isn't Australia or Europe.
I hate Gamespot... Heck, most of the game reviews that are considered "professional" are often tainted by the advertising dollar or by special feature benefits received. I just don't put much value in game reviews any more.
Fairly sure they are out in Vancouver, a hub of gaming development these days. So that would be Pacific time.
I think even more important than not having DRM, which I think more companies are going to be doing simply because it pisses their customers off and doesn't do anything to slow piracy, is that it's not one of the major publishers, like EA, who don't give a damn about their customers once they have their money. I think small publishers, and self-publishing, are the best way to go. I've seen too many games ruined by crappy publishers who shove a game out of the door to meet some quarterly expectat
If you have the patience and the money to buy the top end GeForce 9 card when it comes out, then it might be worth the wait, assuming you play other games. I got my GTX KO when it came out and it has been a great investment. Don't think I'll be hitting up the 9-series, just wait for the one after that.
I can't even begin to name the number of games over the years I've legitimately purchased, yet, still had to get a crack for just so I didn't need the disc in the drive, which is about as annoying as it gets. Kudos for not treating your customers like criminals and using the reward system instead. I think the best way to do things is with extra features that make having a serial key valuable, like online play and additional downloads. Companies that don't have these extra's and rely on
