They SAY Spore will be released March 3rd 2008, but I've noticed that computer games often don't quite seem to get released on their first release date. Half-life 2 for instance...we could be waiting for this game for years...

Dunno, they are really different in almost every way other than eventually SPORE does deal with space...


The majority of the game actually takes place in space, thats when the real fun begins. You basicly become a god.

This is some of the best news I've heard about Spore for some time.
In an interview with the brain behind it all, Will Wright, he said that they were planning to release it in April 08, and that if it got behind schedule, even then, it wouldn't be that far behind. Definitely not after April. Apparently we'll get it before April, or during.

I am pleased.
The system specs aren't too demanding, but it is a newer game. I can't wait to test out how well they've applied the procedural programming.

Maybe, or maybe it doesnt. Infinity doesnt really end, or does it? Hm... maybe it jogs a long take quick brakes for everyone else to catch up. But thats unlikely.

Not really, the used a new coding technique that greatly reduces the size and process time of many main game elements suh as zooming, and the editors and the creature animator. The only noticeble lag might be when you do zoom, but even thats unlikely.

Yeah I have been waiting for Spore since 2005!
I personally feel that it will be a great and fun game but the game has
entered the cartoony graphics to appeal to a mass audience; while I will still play
the game for the gameplay/experience but I personally reject the graphics theme.

I have been reading that the date is based on feedback from Amazon.com and Gamestop.com and may not be accurate but it is good to hear.

Real graphics would have looked really weird for some of the creatures. The thing is, you can make things look very real, in a presentation he showed a city that was very modern like and realistic, and then one that looked more like it was made by Dr. Seus.

The amazing thing is about this game is its syncronization and its ability to evaluate playing styles and creating styles so that you could pick buildings/vehicles and pretty much anything that fits you as a person.
