a few questions

ok i have a few questions about the current game and what will be in the final release also what will we be able to do with the game
first off does the info card update the damage thingy when you do research to update it and if it dosent now will it?

second can you/will you be able to have multiple fx tied to one weapon?

third whats the chances of pre orders getting it before it hits the shelves? (to compensate for downloading and such things   )

and forth is it just me or does that (presuably advent) ship in the background picture of the combat research panel look like a thorax from EVE?

anyway great game so far cant wait for the release (which just so hapens to be my birthday ,give or take a couple of days, if that ticker up there is till release)

As far as I know, info cards in general should be more informative at release. The research info cards show % damage increases, so I'm assuming you're talking about the ship's infocard that shows damage?

Probably not, but I believe you can modify weapon effects.

Most likely very low

Never noticed anything looking like the Thorax

Actually, we tend to release things the day the game ships (since there's really no way for us to know when it'll hit the stores - some get it the day after, others a week later).

If you mouse over a research project, it tells you what it does. If you mouse over a ship, it will display current/i] data on its damage, shields, HP, etc etc.

Thats something for modders to answer, but I don't [i]think so.

Looking above, just to clarify, you will get it before it hits shelves by at least one day via download... or, if your like me, you can just be really nice and have the download on day 1, and get them to mail you a copy for 10$ more that'll arrive about the time stuff hits the shelves.

oh thanks for that and i was refering to ship info cards because whenever i look at em they dont change so i assume it will be updated in the final release

annatar its right in the middle and its facing away from you ... the engines arnt quite right but it looks strikingly similar

What? Are you saying the info cards aren't updating right now?

It may be a case of fractional math not being displayed -- I don't think so, but that could be it. I'd need to test... let me go do some testing later, ./sigh

i had another game earlyer and i think it updated ut after the first research it went to an illogical number and stayed there (it went up 10% from 10 to 12...) so i duno whats going on there

The InfoCards have pretty much gotten redone for release. I'm pretty sure they're updating, but we'll look at it.
