Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

PS got a couple of mini dumps from increasing the speed og the game just letting you know. I dont think its a bug so i wont post it on the issue thread. Am i required to use the DEV for any testing? Cause i have had problems with the darn thing.

dev.exe is prefered . what kind of issues are you having?

Random crashes, random minidumps among things. I know how to instal it but using it to find errors meh.

I've also been getting minidumps (I wasn't playing using the dev.exe). Would it be helpful if I sent them to you?

You do realize all you have to do is click on the dev application icon in your Sins directory and it opens up, right?  No installation or weird instructions to follow.  It's really simple to use; you just set it up exactly like you would set up your normal Sins settings and then play, except this will tell you whenever there's an error. 

There's also a host of options to make testing easier, like spawning/destroying ships, viewing internal unit data like weapon DPS, quick play (instantly research everything and acquire endless amounts of resources), and things of that nature.  For developers and beta testers it really is an invaluable tool that's practically the same as running a normal game.

I was curious to how the Human ships compared to each other so I put together some balance sheets using excel. I wasn't sure if you guys already had this, so if you want I'd be happy to share. It has shield/hull/dps vs supply/time/cost taking into account armor, damage types, and cap ship level. In the future I plan to add research and ability info, but I only put a couple hours into it so far - been too busy with other work or actually playing the game :)

sounds lke the testing is going along well "good to hear"

 

i know its been bugged for a while but just woundering other than the testing going on atm is there any other work to be done such as texturing molding research ect??

or is it just try and break the mod time

I was wondering, how exactly do you use the options of the Dev.exe? I can run it fine, and it shows me when there are errors, but i cant make it do anything beyond that...

To bring up the command menus press Ctrl+shift+m or Ctrl+shift+. then just press the key to the section you wish to follow. If you are still struggling go to http://sinsmodding.dreamhosters.com/index.php?title=Developer_Exe this tells you what it does and all of it functions basicly.

Playing as Tauri, Normal speed. I manage to colanise a few planets then it crashes and produces a mini dump.

I just tried playing using the dev.exe and a mini dump was produced and sins just closed after that, there wasn't any option to debug it.

please reproduce the issue using regular.exe and send me the dump file from the reg.exe Not the dev.exe

Attention all beta testers

 

Regarding mini-dumps please be more specific when reporting dumps. Also please dont report dumps that occur from saved games. As this is probably due to checksum differences and content we altered since the game was saved.  When reporting mini dumps the more information you can provide the better. Also we have the abiltiy to read standard sins dumps. Please upload both the standard dump file and the debug report as well as any info or thoughts you have on the dump , to our debugg site. "NOT DEV.EXE DUMP FILES "

Basic script coding. Such as entity creation and abilities buffs etc.

Morning All,

Well one way or another I have been quite busy in the last few weeks.

So where do I start....

Date: 27.02.10

I had planned a stag-do for my friend Rob Parker. We were to play paintball and then head out into town in Bath, UK in the evening.

The only issue on the day was it had been raining for 2 days and was really muddy. Took it nice & easy, came down the first hill under fire but went ass over tit and went flying into a tree OUCH!

In the end I dislocated my ankle borke my Fibula and factured my Tibia in 2 places. Had an operation 04.03.10 - I now have a plate some pins and some screws.

Screws are going to be removed today.

Well now thats out of the way back to the mod. Havent been in the mood in the last few weeks to do any SGI work but I have been tidying up all the data I have been working on in the last 2 years. I'm back in the right frame of mind now and here we go.

First is a update I did to the SGI HD wallpaper I did a few months back and didnt post.

 

Also I managed to finish I model a few weeks back.
