Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

okay, now, not to nit-pick, but the original missile defense platform i rather old-school (in terms of the fact it still has solar panels and what not)

its not ugly persay, but very spartan... and far too simplistic... i realise it still a mesh... but its missing something... i just cant put my finger on it...

also, the Human Starbase... idn, again... a bit... consternated... the shape seems weird, i think the Tau'ri have more taste than that (as in, it isnt the utalitarian, slapped together stuff of the TEC for instance, Tau'ri make things specifically, not with off the shelf components) im willing to wait to see more of it though...

honestly, i can see the Tau'ri using something that looks like the Argonev or a Star Trek Federation Starbase (though altered enough that it fits with the mod and the Stargate Universe) although i really dont want to be tacky that way...

perhaps something that looks like the current TEC trade port... large main saucer section in the center/middle, weapon banks arrayed around the circumference as well as on upper and lower pylons... hangars located in the superstructure below the saucer section... an idea perhaps would be to add smaller 'saucers' to pylon arms spanning out from the starbae with certain upgrades. for instance, a trade port upgrade would add another saucer to the starbase at the 12 o'clock position, the remote construction (if you are going to use it) would create another module at the 4 o'clock position, and repair bays upgrade would add another module at the 8 o'clock position. auxilary government (called IOA oversight in the mod?) would add another, smaller saucer module in the superstructure above the main saucer...

in general... if possible, i think a visual enhancement for all starbase upgrades would be cool, but not necessary... its up to you...

Do you intend to release a playable version of this mod without having it completed...or before you got it like you want it?  That is to say will this mod be released before its "perfect" in your eyes?  This way i'll know whether or not to look for updates on this mod.

hmm look bro ur gona have to be patient, eomega as a lot to do and i kno it take a long time to finish this kind of mod package. im sure he will release it how he see's fit meaning problably completed and he will most likely update what will possibly  be a beta version. Just tab this post and u can keep track of this mod and its progress and you will kno when the mod will be ready.

As for the mod i hope all is well keep us posted.keep up the great work sgi team.

oh, and btw... a few page back i asked why the Mod team decided to differentiate between the Asurans and Alterans (i.e. Replicators and Ancients)

as in, why did you choose to include/create etc the Asurans as a race instead of/as opposed to the Alterans, and whats the difference?

if its a spoiler though i dont mind not knowing, i just thought it was a funny detail...

At the moment we are at best 20-25% through what we need to release some sort of mod. This will not be final and will still have alot of work to add to it. It's still a big problem with most of the work pretty much being done by myself & Eomega.

I don't know myself why this choice was made it was done before I joined the team and at the moment Eomega is having a few PC issues, so he may not be online for a few days.

Been working on a few models for the second half of the mod, really because I'm a little bored of making Tau'ri models at the moment. Will be posting 4 new models over the next 2-3 days.

Guys, I have been follwing this mod pretty much since the day when i got sins (as soon as it was released) and i cannot wait until this mod comes out, but i do realise the sheer amout of work that has to go in to this project. I'm no computer genius but i am fairly competant and manipulating enitity files and and am a huge fan of stargate, so my knowledge of their universe is extensive. I realise this may be too late but i would like to offer my services in anyway i can to help this mod move along even if it is "grunt work" lol

 

 

btw the Asgard are my favourite race of all time :P great job riser on the model, in fact amazing :P  are you planning to add the Asgard at a later date ?

The Asgard Ship looks awesome, even without mesh.  So does Ra's ship.

The Pirates coul be Lucian Alliance.  THey are sort of like a underground cirminal organization.  They used Ha'tak's and stuff.

The quote button refuses to work but @ TheRezonator's question as to why the replicators were chosen instead of the actual ancients, its because the ancients arent around anymore, where-as the replicators are. In order to keep with the lore of the series (i imagine this is the case), the mod contains only the races that can feasibly do battle right now, and since the ancients were long gone when us earthlings arrived on the scene, the only other option is the replicators, and plus since theyre copies of the ancients so the ships of the ancients can also be used. That, or they just thought "who in the pagasus galaxy can we do? wraith, humans, Genii? no theyre useless and primitive, oh yea the replicators! 3 races, plenty of creativity to be had on each, having seen plenty of equipment from each faction. the pirates however, they could be one of several rogue factions we've seen. Then again, consider the meshes posted above, and consider a certain race operating rogue in pegasus that we come to know about in a later season (trying to avoid spelling it out for anyone who hasn't seen it). or maybe theyll be getting some inspiration from an alternate reality (yes that is a reference to one of the episodes). You could use the Replicators or the Ori as pirates.  You don't have to make complete ship sets for them.  Just make a few models to form a fleet and thats that.
