Ok so I am just throwing this idea out there because I am a Halo fanatic and I think that this game could easily incorporate the Halo universe into it. I am not a very good designer but I can provide support and more ideas. There are already two races that could easily be changed into the Humans and the Covenant( TEC and Advent). All we would have to do would be to change ships some and add  gauss guns to most TEC Cap ships. I know this might take a long time but if it means that we will finally have a Halo space combat game then it will be well worth it.

Hey CanadaMan, for the Shiva tooltip, I personally would put "a devastating weapon of Mass Destruction", well simply because it both sounds cooler and is easier to work ones mouth around. Decimating weapon of mass destruction just sounds kinda flat.

Are the Covenant going to get a High Chairity format ship instead of planets?



The Covenant are like the Vasari. Give all of their ships the same ability of the Subverter for in system jump. It would work exept they wont be disabled for a few seconds.

For minefields, give them the name "Havoc MineField".
Havoc mines are more powerful than Shivas.

The High Charity thing is perty good. Replace the space elevator things with orbital, artificial satellites.

After in-system jumps, I think only shields and engines are disabled, but I like the idea that everything will be disabled for MAC's and archers.

Minefields as a tactical modules? That sounds like a good idea.

@All_Under_Heaven: I just tried your models. The assault carrier wouldn't open at all in xsi and the CCS opened but it had the exact same problem as the earlier one. Can you grab xsi so you can test your models pls?

The High Charity thing sounds do-able . I'll look into the mines as i've already seen some iDawn of Victory so i know it can be done.

About the frigates, they are supposed to be 478m, and the marathons are supposed to be 1.19km, so 1/2 is a little to small.

Also just some thoughs.

The Hood class would be a great addition, it has 2 heavy-macs (Not as powerful as a SMAC) It also has 3 twin-turrets with like a light mac that reloads faster (1 round every 15sec) but also don't do as nearly as much damage.

It also has sheilds (not as good as covies, maybe 500-850 points in game)

Also with the Halcyon being like a Kodiak, wouldn't that be a little strange(and confusing) seeing a Halcyon and a Halcyon v2 on the field?

Also for a long range orbital structure weapon, what about a really big SMAC (make it the UMAC- ultra mac)

wow a UNSC ship with shields, its good, something ive been waiting for a long time
a though: as some of us mentioned earlyer it would be the best if the halcyon replaced the kodiak in the game, and other ships should be put Caps(the halcyon does just not fit there)

Hey guys, Ive been meaning to do this for a while, but just never got the time. A while ago i made myself a model of a CCS Battlecruiser in XSI, and just never ended up doing anything with it. I thought someone might as well have it, as I am fully occupied with the star trek mods. I thought it looked pretty cool, but I'll let you guys decide for yourselves.







Just in case you were wondering, the funky rainbow colors come from the tangents, and unfortunately, no, I didn't have time to texture it. I've uploaded the xsi file and all the reference pics I used here. Do what you want with it, I just thought you guys might like it! Oh, and BTW, I am extremely excited for this mod and can't wait for it to be released! Keep up the good work guys

For the High Charity replacing planets thing, I'm not sure if I read that right but what I got from it was that the Covies would just have a bunch of high charities, instead of planets? Well if that was what you were suggesting, I'd have to say no. The covenant had a LOT of planets, probably moreso then the humans and the humans had like, over 800 planets? Don't forget that the covenant took over other races, so the empire the Grunts had came under control of the covenant, the planets the hunters, and the Drones, and the Brutes, all those planets were brought under control of the covenant. Also any sort of habitable planet that they found along their travels and decided to use as a base, and colony.

If you weren't suggesting replacing planets with High Charity type structures, then just ignore my lengthy rant lol.

no i was just gonna make one TYPE of planet high charity and make it their starting planet

oh and i just tried the model and it didn't recognize the material so it wouldn't let me put it through the converter. I'll mess with it some more.

@Colt556: If we did lots of High Charity ships, they would need their own gravity well, whick would be very strange and difficult.



For High Charity planets defence and production, when you buy a frigate (CCS-Battlecruiser, Covanant Cruiser (Covanant Cruiser is actually quite weak)), it comes out of the "Bottom" like where it states that the defence vessels are docked. That, or we make a frigate factory =)
