Ok so I am just throwing this idea out there because I am a Halo fanatic and I think that this game could easily incorporate the Halo universe into it. I am not a very good designer but I can provide support and more ideas. There are already two races that could easily be changed into the Humans and the Covenant( TEC and Advent). All we would have to do would be to change ships some and add  gauss guns to most TEC Cap ships. I know this might take a long time but if it means that we will finally have a Halo space combat game then it will be well worth it.

For neutralizing SMAC cannons, the Covanant should have long range fighters and bombers that have scaled down slipspace drives or what every you want to call them. that would force UNSC players to buy fighters and flak frigates just so they don't spend all their cash on an unbeatable fortress world.

Actually seeing as the magnetic coils on teh SMAC are so large is exactly why they dont have point defence. So it would make sense that this is how the covenant kill them.

We know of three strategies the covenant used to kill SMACs.
1. pin-point slipspace jump sacrificing a ship to kill one with a plasma torpedo.
2. Air dropping troops to the surface to kill the power generators.
3. Boarding parties to destroy them from the inside.

The plasma beam mentioned by Flux_87 was never actually used by the covenant against a SMAC station to my knowledge though i might have to double check that. Im fairly certain that ship only attacked other human ships until Keys and Cortana killed it.

Ohh Gamer tag I dont really play Call of duty 4 on xbox 360. I play it on the Pc because I have a custom made awesome pc. But on xbox 360 i do have a gamer tag Its Zeroerror. i dont know if this is possible but replace the pirates with the flood and make the HALOS like the bounty whoever has the most gets attacked, but again i don't know if you could program that at all

i havent had a chance use forge for sins but unless the bounty for pirates is hardcoded all you should have to do is make the flood pirates and then use halos instead of credits as the way that targets are selected, but this only works if the bounty system isnt hardcoded.

I got another idea about that. For it (if possible) who ever controls the most Halos (Ark counts as... 5 maybe?) will get "attacked" by the flood. Instead of a force coming and striking them, they start losing their ships. By that, i mean that if they have 3 CCS's in orbit above a Halo, slowly, they start to go neutral. So 1 of your CCS's start attacking the other 2. slowly one more will convert, then the last will. I highly dout this will work, but it is an idea.

If we stick to bounty, and ships, we can bribe the Gravemind with supplies like weapons for combat forms or ships.

hey anyone know where you can change how much damage an ability does? I just made the Shiva and i want to boost the damage a bit, it's currently at 150 >:P

If you really want to implement the flood then have them start on the halo as their own faction. (JUST THE HALOS never the ark)

Use it as a planetary skill that is used every 10 or 20 minutes. every time the skill is activated an additional 3-5 flood ships will appear around the rings. The earlier you capture one the less flood will be there. This skill would also create a flood version of a media hub which would spread their "culture" (aka spores). idk if this last bit is possible but have "culture" induced planets produce flood ships as well.

In addition all flood ships should have a capture ability that requires the ship to be damaged to 50% and recharges every 5-20 minutes.

As to pointing out the resiliance of the flood, they should have .00001 shields to activate their very high mitigation effect (essencially no shields but gives them mitigation) as well as low hp moderate regen (no shield regen) but high armor.

Something like 500 health, 5 regen, 30 armor (+1500 hp), 70% mitigation. That will of course have to be playtested with other ships to make sure its fair but that seems the most realistic way to look at the flood.

Pirates should remain as they are as they can simply act as human pirates or rebels.

Range, cost and cooldown are in the ability part and the damage is dictated in the buff part.

hey canadaman777 this is reaper1919 i just would like to say nice job so far on the models and progress, and i would like to be a beta tester for this when the beta comes out. also i have some very slight experiance in skinning, but only on my laptop and thats in the shop (cousen threw it out a window) so just wanted to say that i would like to help you finish this project.

p.s did i mention that im a big halo fanboy  :) 

p.p.s for the pirates id suggest to use unsc rebals, or heritcs for covie for that its easyr and i think its better then the flood i fucking hate them.

Just one question I forgot to post. I see the models and all. and they look.... AMAZING but I was wondering. Why are they all black. It looks like they dont have a texture and color yet. Or is that just because of the suns glare? I mean we wouldent want these things posted without texture. =0 but keep it up
