I'll start on it soon. I knew mine was underdetailed. I was basically making mine as a proof-of-concept and wasn't even sure if you guys would like the help. I'll try to have something by the end of the week.
drumin, don't worry too much... any help is welcome... being a modeler myself, only one advice... keep your model enough "modular" for now ( i need it being made of several obj part )... it will help when Canadaman ( who is the Halo God ) will request some change...
Recently, i have make a UNSC super carrier... some huge change was needed on the hull level but due to a modular why of working, these change have ask only a few minutes of work...
By the way, any help is welcome for the Halo mod... specially now that we work again the clock since Danman ( my boss from 7DS ) have request it to be ready for the next 7DS version... same if your model is not perfect, some other people ( by example, me ) can use your model and modify it for the game ( in case of modif, you will have the credit of it anyway ).... just take care of have it error free and in obj format...
The fact is that a lot of ship is ready or almost ready but at the level of orbital structure, almost nothing is made... so your help is welcome... more, since the halo mod is moving to entrnechment, starbase become possible... i have already begin work on the "high charity" starbase but i need a good very low poly forerunner dreadnought keyship for put it inside...
I am vey good at modeling but any help is welcome ( i suck at texturing but i am lucky, i have buy the right tools ) and if you wish, we can work together at some project.... i am so bad at texturing that 80 percent of my texture are simply render of high poly 3D models that apply on a low poly model!!!
Any way, any guy with skill is welcome... we work against the clock now... UNSC and Covenant model need to be ready very fast... i am a modeler myself and i know that i can use your skill for help these mod... maybe not for a full model but certainly for part of it... by example, the png found at my server ( http://www.love-from-russia.be/pieces_04.png huge file ) is simply a render of a few millions poly that i use for texturing purpose... these will not exist if some other people have created the model before !!!
By the way, it seem that like you, i am a bad 2D guy for make sketch, so i use poly for it.... detail being added at the end... what really count is the final result...
