I thought the patches had fixed the fact that the AIs will gang up on players.
Picture this - me and my friend playing on a larger (8 core systems and one big middle one) version of the Systems at War map. We are CONSTANTLY having to move back and forth through our planets to defend one AI or another trying to nip at our planets. Of course, the moment our fleet gets back, they turn tail and warp away.
This goes on for hours until she (understandably) gets frustrated at the AIs "poke poke poke poke, I know EXACTLY when you move your ships away and the moment you start to warp ships in that can stop me I warp out mine. Poke poke poke. Oh look, I'm over on this side of the galaxy now."
Well, near the end of the game I had finally managed to garner ceasefires with 3/7 of the AIs. I start to wonder what's going on. When she drops I get an immediate message from the AI that took over her civ telling me they were under attack - a message I have never heard from any of my ceasefire buddies. This can only mean one thing...
The AIs were so busy blindly poking me and infuriating us and generally playing in the most aggrivating manner, but they never touched any of the other AIs.
Where is the fun in this? And as a sidenote, can we PLEASE get some better working warp-jamming technologies at some point? Especially for areas around stars, or areas that aren't part of your empire proper. Also, can someone please tell the AIs that 10 siege frigates and a capital ship is not a fleet you can do anything with unless the player is alseep?
