My Homeworld Mod

This is my first attempt at a conversion and I am still learning. I have the Kushan(TEC) and Taiidan(Vasari) playable. I have played the Kushan on a huge FFA map to the end. I didn't add the motherships because I can't decide what role they would play other than a huge carrier. I made the Homeworld corvettes as frigates, HW frigates as cruisers, and well, Cap ships are Cap ships. I made the cloak generator as a planetmodule. which will cloak your modules and ships in an area of effect, but not planets. The gravwell generator is mobile, blocking phase jumping in an area for a little longer time than the phase block module. to keep the enemy from fleeing. Added a few derlicts to fill out the ship slots and made a missile corvette for the Taiidan. I will add the Kadesh next in the Advent slot and eventually the Turanic Raiders as pirates (and make them playjable). Thanks to Sierra, Relic and anyone associated with this great game, Homeworld.

:)  Glad your back!!!  Good to see progress on the 1.03 Entrenchment,  :)  I've been playing the 1.05 version Vanilla, it still brings back memories,  :)  Anyway, good to see you here, Hope it goes well, let us know.  :)  I will download this in a hot second!!  :)

The one you can download is for version 1.05 and the one he's working on is for entrenchment.:'( I dont have entrenchment. I think the Kushan should be in place of the advent because Karan is female and so is the advent voice. The Taiidan should be in plade of the TEC because of the same reason. Is it also possible to get the Kadeshi in there? Might be a lot of work though. Of you could just ask the FX Mod guys if you could use their models somehow... but theres still not enough ships... theres a problem. I just want to see the needleships in sins.

But im glad you're back. I tried updating your mod to v1.15 and it failed miserably.:(  

I think in a later version (if you have the time) to add the Hiigaran and Vaygr from HW2. The progenitors would be cool to. But the only way to do that is to ask the FX mod peeps if you can use their models.

The FX mod people are from what I gather from the readme are Chinese (I think). The FX mod is for HW2 which they used ships from all three HW games. The readme has an e-mail address but I don't think it's any good. I have permission to use Kadesh models from UHF (Unified Higaran Fleet)  HW2 mod. I also tried to get permission from the makers of Kadeshi Void HW mod which has some really cool Kadesh cap ships in it but can't find a working e-mail for them. Also tried to get permission to use models from Turanic Raiders HW mod that has some of the same people from the Kadesh Void mod. It has raider cap ships. No contact there either.

Dude the HW FX Comanders mod is awsome! The Turranic Raider ship models are i find to be a lot better in FX than UHF and FX was the progenitors. Honestly the only reason i play the UHF is for the Kushan and the Taiidan because you cant change the colors in FX. I do find the forum on the FX mod to be kinda confusing at times. So if you want to get their mod i suggest going to the ModDB page. alot simpler. And the Kadeshi Void mod is dead so i dont think you have any luck there.

Im no entrenchment expert, hell i dont even have it. But can a starbase build capital ships? If so you could always turn the motherships into starbases.

And i am now switching to yellow!!!

Uploaded Homeworld Entrenchment 1.03. Mod is for Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment 1.03 as the name suggests. This is still a work in progress, but is playable now. If you find any bugs please let me know. This mod has Kushan in Tech slot, Taiidan in Vasari slot and Kadesh in Advent slot. You start with a mothership but if you lose it, no more. Will add buildable motherships  and other things in the future.

the problem lies in the entity files!   It seems they are corrupted i looked at them and tryed to convet into text and bam errors Wont convert.  SUGGEST looking at entitys !

It seems that there problems are in the abilities and TDN_RepairCorvette.entity, although removing those doesn't fix it. Those just seem to be that can't be converted to text.

Something keeps breaking my files. I downloaded my mod and yes they are corrupt. I zipped the very folder I am using to play the mod. I will use a differant zip utility and upload again. Sorry about all the problems, but I am frustrated too.

OK, I zipped the file with winzip, and uploaded it. Then I downloaded the file to see if it was going to work. I put it in my mod folder and enabled it, started a game and it worked. The other files I had used 7zip, which I had never had a problem with before. Here is the new upload link: http://www.filefront.com/14101001/Homeworld_ENT_1.03.zip. If this dosen't work then I will try to find a differant upload site (any suggestions).
