Forge Tools v1.1 Now Available

Ironclad and Stardock are pleased to announce the availablity of the Forge Toolset for version 1.1 of Sins of a Solar Empire. The latest version of the Galaxy Forge and Particle Forge are now available in the Download section of the website.

Those looking for the updated bi-directional convertdata.exe will find it as part of the v1.1 download in Impulse.

when I convert data to TXT do I have to convert back before mod will work?

You can convert back to binary if you want, it's not necessary, it just makes the files smaller so they load faster.

The karma button is hidden on the OP.. but if you hover your mouse just to the right of the karma-meter, the button is clickable (and the mouse hover tooltip will read Give Yarlen +1 Karma)

*ahem* 14. Holding Entrenchment hostage is just MEAN.

I propose the reverse: release the Entrenchment beta so everyone would have many more reasons to give karma

Heeeeeeey. Are we supposed to convert the data files ourselves? Or will you guys get the folder with the text versions together?

EDIT: will the developer exe we downloaded earlier work with 1.1?

That's what I'm talking about, the main Forge Tools package is still @ 1.05 - and no, the dev exe and data are different

yargh! no GAMEPLAY.CONSTANTS in the gameinfo folder anymore?

is it done away with or is it renamed or can I import the v1.05 back in?

There's a gameplay.constants in your Sins install GameInfo folder, it's always in text so you can use it.
