Unfortunetly, the 1st isn't the real date...   That's just a place holder they put on Impulse. If I remember correctly, they said that we would be playing the beta over Xmas. Hopefully we'll see something before then. I would guess that there will be no forewarning whatsoever for when the beta or the final version will be available. One day, people will log onto Impulse and it will be there. No announcement, just to avoid any backlash if they have to push the day back.

OMG!!! That thing is awesome!!! It's inspired me to play as the Vasari!!! (i assume it's Vasari)

Yeah, well... Not to beat a dead horse, but it's a bit too late for that. RELEASE date was Nov 18th. It's already been pushed back. Pushed back a LOT. Pushed back a mere two days before release, even though people had pre-ordered, and yet there wasn't much griping.

Why? Because we all heard the beta was being released intead, and that was fine, because it was all the same either way.

Misplaced enthusiasm.

It's starting to sound like I'm bitching, which nobody listens to, so I'll be quite, but really, a day, a week, a month, a year? It'd be nice to know what scale of time we're talking about.

An estimate would be great! I think the reason for the backlash was because the 18th sounded like it was set in stone. If it is specifically said this next date is an estimate and it ends up being pushed back again, people would be more understanding. Well some of them would.

I see the dawn of war 2 beta, the demigod beta 2, and a few others coming soon. I hope I have enough time to play test entrenchment too!

sweet. now, that's a curious structure, from the looks of it, the thing must be massive!

you know, maybe the guys here (including myself) would be a bit happier, if we knew what exactly caused or is causing the delay and what tasks, what stuff has still to be done before the release. you don't need to give us a time estimate, but if we knew what issues still have to be resolved, we would understand better and appreciate your efforts more I think.
