I'm actually having issues with regular phase stabilizers now in a new game. They were working early on in the game and then simply stopped working. All of them. All planets tested have either a phase stabilizer or a starbase with phase stabilizer upgrade. Also tested over time in case the phase stabilizer upgrade of the starbase takes time (the other upgrades say 50s, but phase stabilizer says nothing).
So, Planet w/ phase stabilizer to planet with phase stabilizer worked early during the latest game and stopped working after a few hours. Starbase with phase stabilizer upgrade to any other phase stabilizer planet or starbase hasnt worked yet across 2 full games.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong. So far, I'm clicking on my built starbase, within planetary orbit, click on the phase stabilizer upgrade which then turns to the grey board box around the picture, and wait a minute or 50. I then try to move ships from a planet and/or other starbase with a phase stabilizer to there. Every time they take the long way to the new destination and dont jump directly there. I then try to move the ship from the starbase back to another planet or starbase with phase stabilization ability.
And yes, I did make sure stabilizers were built and completed prior to testing.
A note on the negative resource values I mentioned above, they appear to be related to the fortification researches. I left the researches of fortification for the end of the research tree and it wasnt until I started researching that negative values were allowed.
A side note on starbase strengths: I've noticed that vasari starbases are significantly weaker then tech. Playing against a medium tech opponent as vasari. During one battle, I had 6 capital ships against a planet with minor defenses and a starbase. It had wiped out 3 of my cap ships before their reinforcements came in and I was forced to retreat. On the flip side, I had a single starbase maxed out with shields and hull armor upgrades against 2 capital ships of theirs and about a dozen frigates. They destroyed the starbase without losing more then half of their fleet. Further, my 6 cap ships were levels 3-5 while their cap ships were levels 1 and 4. Now maybe the frigates made the difference, but every time I've attacked a vasari starbase, I've had significantly easier time against vasari starbase then tech. I dont mind the vasari starbases being slightly weaker then tech as they are mobile, but there seems to be a huge difference between the two. Especially when fully upgraded with defense, and the starbase gets destroyed with a minimal fleet. Now perhaps the upgrades hadnt taken full effect yet. I didnt observe that at the time. I just know I'd queued them up and it had been some time before the starbase was attacked.
Edit: After reading another bug report thread, I think the issues with no phase stabilizers and weak starbases might stem from the starbase upgrades themselves not actually executing. That still doesnt explain why my normal phase stabilizers ceasing to work, but it would explain the starbase issues.
Disconnects running rampant. My brother and I have been dc'ed quite a few times over the last half dozen games we've tried since the last report.
