Basilisk Ship Yard (Pirate Star Base for Tri-Pirate Mod)

I am currently working on my Tri-Pirate Mod, a mod that makes the Pirates into a playable faction.

Despite how my mod is turning out (very well) I am having difficulty getting help.

 

Recently I have Begun coding in the Basilisk Ship Yard, the StarBase for my Pirate Civilization. (If you can call what Pirate have a civilization)

I have fallen in love with the SHEAR power of this Star Base, and want it modeled right away.

SO! the job to model, UV map and texture the Basilisk Star Base is open for grabs.

With a few requirements. I will not take bad jobs, or half jobs. I will not accept JUST a model. If you can only model, pls find someone who can UV map and texture to finish the job.

If absolute need be, I can size the mesh, add Hard points, and attach the texture. But no more.

 

If anyone does decide this, I would first like to look at your past work, to see how good you are. If I think you might be good enough, I will then give you a minor job (Probably a structure) to model, UV map, and Texture, just so I can test their skill.

If I am pleased, I will award you with the job of the Basilisk Ship Yard.

But I still reserve the right to give it to someone else if I am not pleased with the progress. (but don't worry, I keep my word, and do not have favorites)

 

besides the Basilisk, I still have alot of other things that need modeled, UV mapped and Textured, so if you don't want to the Star Base, but want to help, your welcome to help anyway.

Besides modelling, I have a capitol ship that needs UV mapping and texturing.

One that just needs texturing.

and of course, lots of basic 2d art and voice acting if anyone is interested.

Sound really, great! Had thought about a special place for the pirates to call home ... so much better a starbase than a colonised planet!

 

If you still need some 2D work ... I could give it a go ... but you my need to talk me through a few details ...

I just thought of something.

Could you learn how to texture ships? It is still 2D art, but a bit more in depth.

If you could, that would be awsome!!

 

I can't teach you, But I think Fileosoft can.

I'll give it a go ...can't promise anything wonderful ... perhaps my first attempts would cause some amusement, laughter, etc ... but, I'm willing to give it a go!

 

Only hope Fileosoft has enough patience ...

Trust me, I tried my hand at UV mapping once. It wasn't pretty.

 

I'm sure that you will have your usuall skill at such things.

Have almost finish the UV optimisation with the Koobalt model... in one or two days, i will begin with the texturing tutorial, again with the kobalt model... in fact, almost all the EA topic on the other forum is a tutorial who is about modeling, segmenting, UV optimisation and texturing ( soon )...

The only thing not cover in the topic is the special case of "organic" ship with their numerous curve who can lead to huge strech on the UV map...
