Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

I think that's still closer to an even match than the net.

meh. All I know is that China is on my "Places to never visit" list.

Richter {^}

Reply #6053 Top

why, some areas in China are still unscarred by uncaring people bent on domination of the earth like in the good 'ole USA

Reply #6054 Top

You mean the parts torn by civil unrest due to opression by the government, and racial tension worse than in California?

If I want to go somewhere that is "Unscarred", I'll go to Brazil or New Zealand, thank you.

Richter {^}

Reply #6055 Top

yeah sure Brazil and New Zealand

they still have their rain forest right?

Reply #6056 Top

Brazil: No, and I give it 10 years before their economy collapses as a result.

New Zealand: Is too far SOUTH for Rain Forests. Sorry.

Did you just say Brazil is not scarred by racial tension? You do know that former slaves were not legally allowed to publicly display their culture until the 1960s, right? And that still, if they see you practicing those aspects of your culture, they shun your ass?

And I like how California is the standard. Not Chicago. Not Arizona. Not Hawaii. Yes, California.

Reply #6059 Top

Ryat: I was under the impression we were talking about TROPICAL Rainforests. Please do be more elaborate in the future.

Draak: HA. HAHAHAHAHA. You talk to me, ME about the Racial tension in Hawaii. I GREW UP IN HAWAII. Since I'm white and since my father is in the military, I would get beaten up on a daily basis by the kids in school, often times in front of teachers, since they had the same biased opinion of me. I mean, my mom didn't even let me go to school on 9/11, for fear that I'd be blamed by the kids and teachers in school for the event.

Reply #6060 Top

so why did you use California as the standard

I believe that was his question

and I said Rain forest, never mention tropical at all, in fact I was thinking of the ones in Washington State when I wrote it

Reply #6061 Top

True, a rain forest is what it is, climate aside. Devils in the details.

And yes, I think you proved my point.

Reply #6062 Top

Well what can I say

I learned to read, think, then reply

Reply #6063 Top

I used California as the standard because in California there are more races having tension against one another, compared to Hawaii, where it's just whites and natives.

The fact that you just made the "rain forest" statement implied to me that we were discussing the most infamous of the rain forests, not ones that are like olives and are only classified that way because they meet certain requirements.

Reply #6064 Top

so why give Draakjacht all that flak about Hawaii? Just remember that that kind of thing doesn't just happen in Hawaii or just to you

also you took the implication too limited, typical prepubescent teenager

Reply #6065 Top

The number of races is rarely of concern. Intensity has often been the bigger issue. The second incarnation of the Ku Klux Klan was predominantly targeting African Americans, but despite that one directed force, they still caused enough trouble to have the U.S. Army brought against them.

And he didn't state which rain forest. As for the requirements, without such things all forests are just a collection of trees, some wetter than others. It's only through standardization of terms that any one or another becomes unique in our minds.

To prove my point; emotions are powerful things Ryat, something someone as unemotional as you would probably have difficulty using to your advantage.

I'm well aware, hence the fact that I MENTIONED CALIFORNIA... the most populous and culturally diverse state in the country.

Oh, I'm sorry Ryat, it's just that at 2 in the morning, my mind isn't exactly focused upon the rain forests surrounding Seattle and Juneua

Richter {^}

Reply #6067 Top

Actually, the unemotional are extraordinarily good at using emotions to their advantage. As long as they are not sociopaths, they'll understand the mechanics as well as anyone while still able to keep themselves in check, allowing the execution of a plan without the potential hindrance of emotional interference. This is used quite often by hostage negotiators, profilers, etc.

Hence the reason they call us emo's, Draak.

And besides, Ryat is unemotional, he just tries to be as unreactive and level about a situation as he can; I've made him lose his cool once.

Actually, Ryat,  having lived in Seattle once, I'm aware that the climate that Seattle has is also shared with about 1/3 of Oregon and the Alaskan Panhandle.

Yes, I got that the first time. All I said is that he would not have difficulties dealing with those that are emotional. Not sure how it is that you misunderstood me.
