Actually, everyone started calling me Quar just because I picked vasa and had 2 games. Later I just given in to the madness of that pug and started talking crap in polish lol. That game was hilariously insane or insanely hilarious, you pick.

And on smurfs: people will smurf because community is too small, everyone knows everyone. No way around it. Period.

Agree with quar and mecha, and I havent seen ONE NORMAL person using there main account on for the past 3 days.

Yes it is small community---losing the best part of the community-UNITY. 

You don't see familiar faces that you enjoy playing with-can't trust WHO anyone is anymore. 

New players are getting kicked because you can't tell who is new and who is smurf. Do you think that they will just keep trying?

If things were like this when I was trying to get into the game-I wouldn't have stayed around.

And I am sure we are losing out on new players for the COMMUNITY because of it.

You are right Quar I see no mains today-and so, if I can't play with people I know I don't play at all.  That was one of my favorite parts of this game- familiar faces-community-now it's gone-fractured.

Think about it.  We now have 3 versions of the game making the online community small enough already---why make it harder to bring people together?

I was just saying everyone wants to play anonymously sometimes, and should have possibility to do so. But yeah, smurfing has gotten a bit excessive lately. IMO people smurf because they're bored with the game.. Many people log in just out of habit... instead of playing and enjoing the game they just fool around (SMURF). To fix smurfing you need to fix most annoying bugs (I-L-L-U-M-S), improve balance and add content.

Smurfing is a symptom, not a disease.

I don't think that dev smurf detectors or forum threads are the way to 'fix' smurfing.

Its agiesnt law to kick or ban smurfs from playing in the online community:

The Race Relations Act 1976 (RRA) makes it unlawful to discriminate on grounds of race, colour, nationality or ethnic or national origin.

So, if anyone of you ARE kicking us out, It is agiesnt the law to do, and you can get perscuted.

I don't have an issue with people wanting to play anonymously, there is nothing wrong with that, or simply wanting to use a different account to try new strategies. However, what does piss me off is people pretending like they are new when they aren't and using that as a way to stack teams.

Want to try new strats? Maybe just want to have a new name? Play anonymously? All fine, but at least try to be honest about where your skill level is. Smurfing to stack teams is irritating and disliked for good reason. As long as it remains rampant I'll be pretty wary about letting anyone with a new record into games due to the issue of ending up with stacked teams.

What is a "smurf"?

A smurf is a skilled, experienced player who creates a new player name or an alternate player name to either conceal his player record, his better known identity, or any identity he might have under any name.  Other players have no idea who they are playing with or playing against and might end up playing a game with or against someone they wouldn't otherwise play with or against.

Note that a smurf could also refer to someone who is pretending to be someone else.  For example, in a clan match between two clans on a clan ladder, an elite player from another clan that isn't part of the match might agree to play for one of the clans under the name of one of the clan members.  (This is pretty much a violation of most clan ladders' rules.)
