If it was me, I would have ripped his head off, and after smashing his fave real good, I would tell him to shove his Marine crap up his bottom.

If the result would be to get my own ass kicked, then that would be fine, because he would have some nice scars on his face as well.

But.....you did the smart thing, and just backed off. I would advise you to do exactly what you did, if you asked for my advice (hypothetically speaking), before this happened.

I was a strapping 95 lbs when I graduated and nobody messed with me because I hit back (and yes it hurt like hell when their blows hit but hey, they left me alone after a while and I let them know I was there)
