"crispness" of text reduced after 0.90 patch

Just started a new game with the 0.90 patch, and the first thing I noticed was that the text in game was much more "fuzzy" for lack of a better term than it was previously. It seems nowhere near as sharp as it was in previous builds. On a larger screen (24" 1920x1200) this makes the text harder to read. 
Did they change the text/font in game or the UI scaling or did I inadvertently change a setting to cause this, because it's considerably less pleasant to work with than I remember.

Just loaded up to check, everything looked fine. Loaded a game to check loading screen and in-game text, still looks fine.

Odd indeed  [e digicons]:S[/e]

Not sure what is wrong, but it definitely feels less sharp in terms of text.

I'll check my driver settings, since I just updated those yesterday.

 

EDIT: Found the problem, Morphological Filtering was turned on, turning it off made the text as crisp and sharp as it was before.

Guess I won't be turning that one on again.  [e digicons]:blush:[/e]

Well, from what I'm reading, its bad for text, but good for graphics as a whole as it smooths them out.

"its a different type of AA. It takes edges and blurs them together adjusting the colors respectively."

 

So just feel a little short sighted while you get into the game, then enjoy the visuals.

Considering I'm usually turning on AA anyway in Sins, Morphological Filtering isn't needed, and it plays a lot more comfortably with the text sharp, rather than blurry. So I'll keep it turned off.   [e digicons]^_^[/e]

It didn't do any noticable things to the rest of the graphics either, but that's probably due to the player essentially being zoomed out quite a distance.

Yup, in my case that was in Catalyst.
