I'm a experience mod user/author from Bethesda Games, like Elder Scrolls/Fallout. I've been trying a different mods for SotSE, didn't know there was a 2 gig limit on Sin's, which is very similar to games before Skyrim. So I had a few out of memory crashes in large games.

So I've used CFF explorer to set the LAA flag on SotSE exe, and I've haven't had a problem since. LAA flag will only let it use 3 gigs regardless if your computer uses a 32bit OS, but that's better than 2. More if you have a 64bit OS.

And before you say doing this causes more problems, I use Vista 64 Ultimate, its a lot more stable, windows 7/8 causes more problems for gaming rigs then it solves. Until MS totally shuts support for Vista in 2017, not switching.

This isn't new; LAA has been known about for years here. Unfortunately it isn't exactly a good solution.

Well it's inherently known in other modding communities that LAA flags cause problems in Windows 7/8.

Some users say it works for them, lots say it doesn't. The devs have looked into it and thought it would hurt more people than it would help, but if it works for you great.

Since there isn't a strings file for Bail's it pretty much drag and drop certain folders, with info I got from RickHughes about merging mods after testing Sins Plus. Had a few memory crashes prior setting the LAA.

Glad you're enjoying it, but be very careful with Bailknights. The version Rick Hughes made unfortunately changes ship entities to reference the old particles rather than renaming the Bailknight particles to the new Rebellion names, thus unless you had modify every ship in the E4X mod folder you'll be missing a lot of particles. The explosions and stuff should still work but you could probably just put Bailknights at the bottom of your mod order and not have to the dragging.
