Hello ,
I bought the game yesterday on steam and i having the same issue.
I run the game, when i try to play the multiplayer, the screen freezes for a while and shows the message "Network error: disconnected from internet multiplayer".
I gave admin permissions. checked the firewall. did all the procedures above and in the troubleshooting section. reinstalled the game. Tried the procedure the same as Not_Sure above.
After all, i played with Dev.exe and got this message on debug file.

That´s all the info i have to solve the problem... i just want to play this game with my friend ASAP....
