I think stardock should make Demigod free to play. It seams to be the model that is working for games like this. Make it free to play on steam and they will get plenty of new players.
Totally agree. It's kinda worthless right now for those of us who paid back in the day since there's no player base. If it went F2P, there would be plenty of people to play with. And if the player base grew large enough, they could add

When waiting to connect I sometimes go check out web sites. Sometimes the game will crash though, it seems like perhaps after connections are done and I go into lobby. I get an error I normally can't see, but this time I did have visible window. It seems whenever I join a game, the connections I make are one at a time, each a few seconds apart. Are the requests for connection only sent out one at a time? I'd think you'd send them all out simultanously, and then the connections are established as the results come back in. It doesn't seem to work this way since I never see two people connect promptly back to back. Also the final ones to connect are like 20-40 seconds after the first one, since it's about 5 seconds per connection.

I find it annoying the online download price is $5 more than the local store prices. I wanted to just hit the button and buy it. :) But I figure for a few dollars I may as well drive around town to find a copy in stock.
