Repair platforms getting a feel for their true worth in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

My question for everyone today is how much is a repair platform (ie the defensive structure researched with 1 military lab) worth in a defense? What I am looking for is an answer that will help me judge whether my forces can win an engagement that involves repair platforms. So an answer could be an amount of ships, eg 1 repair platform is worth 4 assailants, or it could be a force multiplier, ie each repair platform is the equivalent of having 10 percent additional forces in a sector.

Hi all, been playing for a few weeks now, only as TEC at the moment, so I thought now would be a good time to ask some questions of you fellow sins players. Hi again, I think ive worked out my problem, for some reason the folder is hidden, and so I couldnt see it, and that was what confused me. Btw how do I make such folders unhidden? Though I wonder if the test to see if you are worthy of seeing them, is the ability to make them unhidden.

Okay I should have explained, I did in fact read the FAQ, the problem is I cant actually find the user.setting file, and thats what I need help with. I guess being specific makes answering questions alot easier! So is it a part of the firewall or is it a file within the sins program? As i cant seem to find it in sins yet. Thanks for the response

Changing sins standard port in Technical Sins Forums

Hi Im at university and as such cant port forward the hub. At the moment I cant get sins to work multiplayer, however I can play supcom and thought changing the port from 6112 to 6600 is worth a try. Could anyone give me a detailed description of how to do this? Thanks
