I am here from time to time. Lately I have been playing Takamo (takamouniverse.com/takamo) which I used to play when it was a play by mail (pbm). Yes that long ago. It is free now and uses email, so much better. I am available to answer GalCiv1 questions.

There is a limiting range to what a planet can produce, and this is also affected by your taxation, so that may be the difference

If that is the UP agenda you want, you can further stack the odds by selling tech to the minors for all of their influence. You can even sell your tech to the other Major powers for influence (you are going to lose it anyway)...

There is an "aging of scores" component to your total overal score. There are postings about this topic on the boards

When you trade and get tech by conquest, that is considered to be obtained. Same as what happens when there is the big tech trade from the United Planets vote (if you are lucky enough to get it). But I still have a problem: I now can get to the GalCv I website, but cannot log on, so I cannot post in the forums nor post metaverse scores.

It also will not let me post GalCivI scores on metacers. I can see scores, but that is all. This has happened 2-3 times in the past. Is it the same problem each time?
