Thanks. I didnt see that.
it doesn't show the ships heading or orders until you unpause again. Thats one thing that needs to be added, badly. This is really true for old gamers who experience brain farts and forget. of course an on screen pause button may be a good addition too.
Don't use Esc. Use the button labeled pause. In pause you can issue orders during battle.
Tester: Chip Version Beta 1 Problem Description: When a ship is selected (displaying race insignia) and you use the right mouse button to look around you will randomly lose the original waypoint. It seems to select areas you are looking around at. If you select the ship but click outside and the insignia disappears you can then look around without the above happening. option to turn down or off the background galaxies/nebula.
yup. A litle more animation for the ships wouldn't hurt like thruster fire.
also 3Dgamers, Pacific Storm, Avault and RealWorldBenchmarks
I agree with both DRavisher and Paradoxnt. The highway system should be more of a commercial lane for higher speed of travel but the military/explorer classes should be free to travel outside the highway system with maybe a speed penalty.

oki doki. I just wanted to be sure.
Your welcome. i started heading for teh asteroids, which is what caused teh ships to bump, but I had to leave before I got close enough.
I agree although I think Nexus would be a better example.
I like the look of the space backgrounds. Black backgrounds are nice but sometimes you want that little extra umph and it does have it. Special kudos goes to teh graphics artist for teh planets. love em'. The effect on jumping is also well done as is the ship design. So far so really good. First engagement with a pirate ship was ok but the hits to the shield could not be seen unless I was almost looking dead on at the front of my ship. The shield lighting up was not visible from the back or
From a technical standpoint it is Company of Heroes.... ah heck, what am i saying. COH all teh way. This is for the PC only
The full game will have larger maps so that shouldnt be a problem
A big thanks to Keir over at the Eidos forums for the following battle information for tomorrows pending 360 demo of Battlestations: Midway. Map: Islands of Solomon Historical Perspective Japanese forces occupied the Solomon Islands in January 1942. The counter-attack was led by the United States; the 1st Division of the US Marine Corps landed on Guadalcanal and Tulagi in August 1942. Some of the bitterest fighting of World War II took place on the islands for almost three
It has been a long time coming and finally demo should be out Thursday or friday with a release at the end of the month. WWW Link Very cool 360 degree view. WWW Link BTW. SotSE needs to do this effect
[QUOTE=Sno]More words on this thing: It's a proof of concept from developer Zootfly, and it's running on the 360. The devs are apparently ecstatic over the response to the vids. They're in talks to obtain the license and the go-ahead for the game. ^ It's a sticky situation though, and if it falls through, the game will still be made. Essentially, they'll gut it of Ghostbuster references and put in place a new story with new characters. So i
WWW Link oh please please be a real game
Big fan of the game here. Honestly it should have sold better. It is one of the few games I played through to the end.
