I am both surprised, and not surprised, Rick is still working on Sins. LOL. Will be interesting to see where the community eventually goes with Sins 2.
XATHOS
So many erections right now.
I am just disturbed right now with my POS laptop, and adobe photoshop not converting tga to dds without them looking absolutely horrible. No matter what settings i use in the dds plugin. Production, Fastest, dxt5, dxt3, error correction, no error correction... No answers online. I am at a loss. So the textures and particles components are fairly pointless for the most recent versions of Rebellion, but the audio is still relevant?
What about audio?
Is there anything in TSOP, that Rebellion hasn't already adopted, that'd be worth taking a pass at the mod for?
Xenonauts has a community edition. http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/11882-What-is-Xenonauts-Community-Edition-how-do-I-get-it Any chance we can get this on Sins now that the game will no longer be patched, anymore?
This, and other LBAA options, have been used for years. This isn't anything new.
Wound up dominating 77% of a 142 star system.
That's your first clue of what would be an issue. The star system is way to damn big. Keep it under 100 if you want a playable game. Even then, once you max out on research, the game feels very grindy (not in a good way). Any game that ends up over 10 hours, with no research left, just becomes boring at that point.
Quite right, and that point would totally be applicable here if in fact the game had been spoiled (Spoiler: it hasn't been)
Explain yourself.
Giving us more customized control over the AI via gameplay.constants file is far better vs. doing blanket changes that spoil the game for veteran users.
Why would you?
Essentially, Normal is baseline, Hard is 50% more than Normal, Unfair is 50% more than Hard, etc. IIRC.
How about you add those parameters in the gameplay.constants file? That'll make many of us happy.
SO! There is a sequel in the works! How the hell did you get a confirmation out of that?Well by deductive reasoning it's clear; that if something is in jeopardy of being rushed to finish, it follows that it's already in production. Simple.
Your reasoning is flawed.
Where's my Nephilim update?
Hello Play the Sins of a Solar Empire diplomacy and I have the maximum effects but I want better graphics mod know I can use is the v1.34 version of diplomacy
As said before, don't bother with Diplomacy/Trinity. Nobody plays it anymore. Get Rebellion.
Well you were talking about them right here.
That's two different quotes taken out of context.
Because I don't think we're having the same conversation, let me summarize all the points here. OP asks what is in the way of making Sins II. A Stardock employee replies what we all know, that they can't make 2 games at once. While Sins of a Dark Age is being worked on, Ironclad cannot seriously
Well Yes. Stardock may have helped out with a few things, and that's more than what most publishers do, but it was clearly their engine, their universe, and ultimately their call. After all, IC was working on Sins before Stardock agreed to publish it.
I never was talking about Stardock. If they did anything as a publisher, they put forward funding needed to complete the game and market it. I'm tal
That is just the same game as before with a few updates. It is not a remake
Unless you're talking about remaking it in another engine (like to IWD in NWN 2), it has LOTS of new content is definitely is worth investing into. It's the closest you'll get to BG III (end goal).
Starbound is set to launch the first tier of it's beta phase in ~36 hours. I've been following this game VERY closely since it started, and it's been on the top of my list for most anticipated games of 2013. I've put VERY large number of hours into Terraria (from gameplay to modding), but even with the restoration of development of new content, that game st
How is this PC Gaming related?
In my opinion, the best thing about the middle market (from a gamer's perspective) is that it is THE place for niche games. The simple, unfortunate truth is that you simply cannot make a AAA game with "Niche appeal." They cost too much to make. Thus, any game that only caters to a (relatively) small demographic (for example, 4x Turn based strategy games IN SPAAAAAAAACE!) cannot be profitable, and therefore, cannot be made. How
You're assuming we're only working on Galc Civ III and nothing else.
I presume you guys as a mid tier publisher and developer of games. You guys can work on multiple titles. We already know that Star Control and GalCiv 3 are pre-alpha. I do recall talk of trying out an RPG (maybe Elemental series related). I also figure something involving a new Sins iteration (at least, DLC) is also being worke
