I like the modder vs. casual user response in here. Shows how ignorant people can be if they don't educate themselves. Most prolonged gameplay of Sins is usually through mods. With that being said, you're paying 5 bucks for a decent code expansion. We have new toys to play with. Many of the mods will probable require it due to the cheap cost, too. I know mine will once I get done rebuilding it for 1.5 (waiting on TSOP to update).

Titan's are weird because they merge elements of capital ships and starbases into one file. In SBs, where all you'd need to do would be to change the max upgrade level (I think 10 is the engine max), here, the only thing you can change is the number and specific upgrades. You'd have to do some merging upgrades if you wanted more points to spend on things.
How does one go about changing the Race Selection Screen to replace the races and allow a 4 one to be included?
If you have coded before in Sins, it's pretty straight forward, even if you haven't, it's still pretty easy to figure out. Just follow the logical flow. It's broken up by race sections with subsections on the Rebel/Loyalist factions. Most of the race specific entries, that aren't pointing toward portrait
I've played a lot with Rebellion 1.1 and while I took a break for a while I just came back and am excited to see the 1.5 patch being actively developed. I just have one concern, and that is the speed of the game in the later stages, especially on the new maps that were included in 1.1 I have heard before that Rebellion is entirely CPU-limited in terms of performance. I have an i7-3610, which while it isn't the best proc out there it is certainly
Kalypso Media will be releasing a retail version of Sins: Rebellion in the near future (I don't have a date), beginning in the UK (Steam will still be required).
Unless you have consumer demand to, why waste money on the production costs for it? You still need Steam to use the damn thing. Doesn't that defeat the point?
Leads back to my comment, unless you're a triple A publisher, or making a console version, why release it physically? I wouldn't call Stardock a indy, but they're not AAA, either. Even being second tier, it's still a waste of money except for special editions. You get more
Idea isn't new or innovative really. Its been out there and public opinion has been that its not worth the time. We all want our own armies and stuff. Its neat but sadly not demanded. If people really like this idea, there are other games that support it. SC has been mentioned, Rise of Nations is another. I'm not sure how flexible the sins engine is, but while modding it in is impossible, I really doubt that altering t
Hey all. I bought rebellion a few months ago and I've been playing mostly offline with some of my real life friends. I decided to start playing online because I was getting more involved and wanted to play more often. I've now played about 20 games and I've run into a trend that I greatly dislike... It seems like the majority of players online just want a fast, rush style game. Sometimes they are 5v5, 3v3, FFA whatever the

The content being offered by the DLC, from what I can tell, includes: 4 new planets...which could potentially include 4 new planet types that would allow modders to do more interesting things with colonization and population techs...sure, mods have had new planets for a long time, but the new planet types (if that's
