Fighters pretty much exist to kill Bombers. Bombers I believe are the preference against everything else. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

At least they chose a survival reduction over a damage one (so an undefended world will still be hit just as hard). We also don't even know the degree of the change. I still recall a World of Warcraft patch note saying the damage of a spell was buffed. It was increased by "1" (the spell did about 250 damage at the time).
Unfortunely, due to the recent advertising scandal and the firing and resignations of editors and writers, I can't take Gamespy as a legitimate review source anymore.
I'm pretty sure you're thinking GameSpot.
My friend had a 30k bounty on him in a game against AI, they weren't that big a problem to deal with.
As an addition to my previous post (curses eteri posting before I edited)... I don't mean to sound rude, but it really doesn't sound like the game for you MiKeL.
1: Go play Starcraft. 2: lol. "Oh noes pirates!" *disconnect* 3: I think it's fine, see 1. 4: Perhaps you should 'move on' to #1.
I think Anima (or however it's spelled, don't remember) are the ones who control the fighters/bombers.
If you kill just a few siege frigates, you'll probably be better off than the enemy even if they kill the planet. The things aren't cheap. Go on the offensive once you kill them as well.
Also ive never heard about any none MMO PC games that requires a monthly fee to play.
Universe at War uses Games for Windows Live, which requires an annual fee to play ranked/automatches.
I used to be able to do these things, but now my eyes feel like they're trying to pull back into my brain and kill me.
Some singleplayer, mostly co-op with friends is likely.
I really don't see what Dreadnoughts would add to the game, and I don't know of anyone who plays Rock, Paper, Scissors for fun.
