I wouldn't upgrade.I would do a fresh install however Telemetry updates can be uninstalled if your afraid of spying on win 10 it can be done with win 7 as well.Websites show which updates to remove & may provide a script to automate. Which one of them does for win 7 As for not wanting to install win 10 coz of "hearing " bad things. Well there's always dual boot until your fears are gone. That & installing classic shell. Creating backup images of win 7 before hand

Revo uninstaller either as a .exe or to avoid installing yet more software there's a portable version. It can be used to install software as well & it will track what goes where. It will find all entries whether it tracks or not inc .dll's, it works surprisingly well edit: there is a ltd function free portable version.

Adblock plus lets targeted ads through it changed a couple of years ago or more. There was a write up of it on the web.Switched to ublock origin then that went to crap. Now adblocker ultimate. For the most part it's alright tho it can play havoc on some sites

They're not mentioning it has a separate system optimizer. However i tried it out & saw no difference to speed of boot before optimization & after. The times were the same. However this is a fresh install of win 7 with not much installed at the mo. As for the cleaning.Wise is only a registry cleaner & it doesn't appear to do the clean option cc does. Also i did mention earlier to use ccenhancer as it adds far more functions to ccleaner & adds other options that wise uses

Not sure if explorer keeps anything in the windows temp folder after surfing. However if it does & cc is not unchecked in Advanced,it will keep files younger than 24hrs,including any windows files & other apps stuff edit: wrong button. Was supposed to use quote to RN not hit reply D'oh
I still can't in IE. Your product key is valid for the version of wb you bought & any updates within 1 year of that purchase is how it works.I find it better to sub to object desktop every so often,to stay current with the upgrades in windows.

Was pissing around with colour temps on my tv yesterday to see if picture improved from the normal setting,it didn't.This morning i thought it may help reduce the glare you mention in my win 7 as the setting i had was very bright.I dropped it from the mode it was in to standard,it sorta worked. Its like looking at the monitor screen through a very very faint grayish filter. It'll be noticeable till i get used to it,however it has had the desired effect sort of.I may at a later stage use custom

If there's an issue with a product its usually advised to start a support ticket by emailing support.Only send one or you'll reset your number in the queue. It may require to add the function your after to "request features" if there is one

Concur with getting an imaging software, tho there are free versions as well not just the paid acronis. You'll need multiple copies of backup images on more than 1 hdd with a minimum of 2 hdd's tho more is preferable, this goes for anything else you backup Using more than 1 email address you can create more accounts on mega increasing your storage & their sync software works quite well minor photo work FastStone image viewer (installer or portable versions are availab

Most probably be cheaper to get object desktop as you'll more than likely need icon packager & perhaps theme manager. On top of that you'll need object dock (there is a basic free version as well as cursorfx for custom cursors). It depends how far you want to go & what packages are available to get the desired look.I'd start looking at any themes if there's any before outlaying money, just in case there's no look that you like
Remember there is always an option linux
What ! just to run made for windows software in wine :p Back on topic: Add me to lightstar's comment. Win 7 is pretty good if a little bloated after the numerous updates over the years ,win 10 did become more usable after classic shell was installed, however the OS still annoys me
