a possible jump cooldown could be to play with the antimatter cost of jumping and the recharge rate. Unfortunately all abilities would have to be balanced. If you are planning on completely modifying the game, you could have the abilities use a 'cooldown only' systems and use the antimatter purely for hyperspace.

Hello, I'm new to Sin Modding and I am planning some additions to the game, and maybe even a TC after getting more confortable with with some areas. I've been doing extensive tests of a lot of fields of modding in the game and got a bit too much minidumps... I also quadrupled the size of a terran home planet using the soase max tool and put in the game a home made planet texture, but even if the atmosphere "sprite" was fit automatically to the planet, the gravity well
How did you edit the gravity well size? I can't seem to find the spot. By the way, great mod! I played a game with a friend and we had a lot of fun.
you cannot start it by using windows explorer, you need to activate it by using command lines. You have to open ms-dos, then enter the location of the program. (if you put it at the same place of your mod, you would enter: cd C:\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\sins of a Solar Empire) The "cd" part tells ms-dos to change directory. When you've reached the intended directory simply follow the directions givin in the readme. (you can go step by step by
C:\Documents and settings\[your windows account name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods You do not have to create a mod folder as its already there. If ever there isn't a mod folder, then you're either at the wrong place or you are not patched. DO NOT put mods in C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire !!!
The ship is only one mesh, and details are cut, extruded and bevelled. I will do some more tests with other models Also, I would love to have a text version of the mesh instead of a binary file otherwise, great script!
I'm having some kind of problem with models. The exporter seems to have some strange smoothing effects on my model, unless its the actual game engine doing this. I was wondering how to set the firing points on ships. For example, TEC light frigates have two cannons, and when set to 1 burst they fire two time. TEC LRM have ten missile holes, and when set to 1 burst they fire 5 or 10 times. For all ships that I have created, the weapon seems to fire from the center (logical since I haven't set anything) but I was wondering how to add weapons, how to set wether they are front, side or rear weapons, and to set their number. There doesn't seem to be anyth
- Backdrop Asteroid belts - Backdrop Orbits circles To add some more things in a solar system. In other words, you see things, but you can't reach them. ie, when you zoom in a solar system, you'd see a ring of debris around the star. The random map generator could also be set to generate asteroid planets INSIDE this backdrop asteroid belt, adding to the realism, since current games have asteroid belts everywhere, without any logical position. Planets orbits lines, while not
