I see why they re-bound it, but they should introduce an option to switch back if the user would like. It wouldn't hurt anything, and would make those who prefer the Esc key happy.

I agree as well. I'm very interested in seeing mods which slightly downplay the military aspects for increased empire building and diplomacy and exploration and what not. Perhaps we can add more types of raw materials, or a varying pricing supply-and-demand economy. I don't even know what the mod tools will offer, but it would be neat if you could add structures, such as major buildings or attractions and things, perhaps a defensive weapon, etc. to the surface of planets as wel
That really is too bad. We're not looking for Steam support, we're just looking for Sins to work with the Steam Overlay enabled, since it's a great concept which works in most games, and I prefer to launch all of my games through Steam's interface. As it seems you are in the mode of listening to your users and considering future patches, I would highly suggest and request that you guys look into the issue. That way all the people who wanted to get Sins on Steam could at least still acce
