I'd like to add that if you remove a ship from a race that is refered to in a template within the galaxyscenarios (like the light frigate or scout frigate, there are a few others) then they need to NOT be refered to....will cause a crash (if its in there and not on the construction list it causes a minidump when the mod is enabled))
UberBeav
well....that means that it is indeed hardcoded (they probably will patch it at some point to make that aspect modable)
convertdata doesnt need to work on string files as string files are already in text format not binary what it seems like is needed from the above posts is a fileparser that can parse out the unnessecary "code" and put it back in later - after a translation App has been used on the "text"
what hes saying is that the text you see saying that it only needs "x" could be in a string entry that displays based on the "tier" - "This research requires %s labs", s=tier - something like that....now what needs to be done is see if this is the case and its only displaying wrong (meaning if you need 50 labs you need 50 labs but it says 8) or if its actually wrong (meaning if you need 50 labs you only need 8 and it says 8)
i think that they are fighters like the old ones....launched from carriers and or hangers....probably only THE carrier
sounds like you are forgetting to copy and overrite the entity.manifest....which goes in the base folder for the mod
decompiled all the races for the entrenchment version, the only NEW research added is the EW stuff, everything else is vanilla, this was a problem in .2 also
sorry for the double post, my browser wont let me edit the previous one anyways, a note - you dont need to include files that weren't edited (except in the manifests) - so if you didn't edit...say AbilityBeamBlast.entity...then the file isn't needed, just needs to be referenced in the manifest
bug report: the player*.entity files while updated to the new version do not include any of the researches that you add (like gas giant colonization)
soon(tm) was copyrighted by verant interactive back in the early days of Everquest *grin* (soon in this case meaning when they get around to it)
sounds like a virus/adware, might be a spy blocker, firewall, or virusscanner trying to get your attention...also might be the OS trying to get you to run an update if you got steam running and are part of any groups that have an event or got invited to a new group that could do it too probably alot of other possibilities (for some reason if i exit the game normally i end up having a "process overload" type effect (closed pr
