Way to cool! Very nice indeed. On a side note, you guys should have a 100% certified mod logo for mods that you guys test or establish an officially endorsed community group to do tests for compatibility. Just an idea...
If you have a SINS mod in the works...time to update your site with the mod graphic above!
Now that is way to cool! I do believe this is a first for a developer. Shock & Awe baby, shock & awe!
thats right i'm buying it. if i hadn't downloaded the beta i world have never even bothered to buy it. which is why im saying they should of released a demo to give people a taste of what the game will be like... so what if u had to wait a little bit more. after all patience is a virtue...
Once you get the final product you will see why they did not want people to base their purchasing decisions on a beta or even a demo derived fr

@BT4282 - Cool. That would be nice. Just look at yourself as a pimp of Sins! :HOT: @Grim - no doubt that is why we do a reimagined BSG. It resolves any conflicts and it already has a precedence within BSG lore so all is golden to be sure. :d Moreover even if we did not want to go that route we could do something like Caprica II situation.

There is also another big huge element to consider when thinking about purchasing this game and it is the serious support for modding. The devs have gone out of their way to make the game as open as possible and will be releasing a full set tools to the community. Just that element alone should be enough to get any "real gamer" to pick up a copy. On top of that there is a developing clan community forming to boot.

For what it is worth, I'm a big time single player person due to my lifestyle. With that said, even in beta with a cheese whiz AI with highly crippled functionality I found the game entertaining and fun and still love to play it after about a year. Multiplayer is like icing on the cake in my opinion. Simply put you cant wrong with this title if you are even remotely interested in refined strategy games and like real time game play as well. Additionally you cant beat the price

@BT - I keep hoping for someone from the HW2 BSG community to pop up here and get involved. We got a good bunch of people together and no one wants to replicate work already done. So we shall a little while longer. I think after the game is released we will get a big huge jump in membership and maybe some people from that community will appear.

Hmmmm.... Not quite sure how to respond to the OP. I will say this however, I have not seen any beta 4 torrents on-line and I did a pretty involved search involving all of the major sites and many private sites about two weeks ago. Also the betas are heavily crippled for that exact reason. Additionally, your thinking is irrational to me. You start of stating you were to late to get into the beta but that is patently false since up until three days ago (and even maybe now) one

I hope the people that are reading this and are members of that site which have played the game as part of the beta process also post reviews. @Gunney - It is word of mouth reviews and social networks that will make this title successful given the utter lack of hype for it within the mainstream promotional venues. Additionally many "professional" reviews tend to be dubious due to the nature of the beast with regards to the business model employed by nearly all game review sites.
Its pretty stupid to buy a game you arent even interested in, just because it has no protection But it is a very good game, and you wont be dissapointed.
I have bought many titles I'm not interested in and a few SD titles I never used as well for that exact reason. I do not consider it a stupid t
Yea ill be getting vista 64b next month but im not sure i can play my games like command and conquer, Myst, Homeworld, Starcraft, etc on it. Just wish the developers would just patch all the old games for us.
Probably 99% of the developers out there wont do patches for old titles for economic and contractual reasons. However fret not with SD it in that 1% which will.

Yep. StarDock is a US company and the publisher so the price on-line via its digital distribution system is in USD accordingly.

Pax is one of my all time favorite games. As I have stated before on these forums (and other places) I think the best game would be a cross between Pax, MoO and Star! Below is nice reference site for those of us that remember the game. Sadly enough the sequel Eminent Domain w

You guys know once I get my God box resurrected I'm going to give Multi a run for the money. Anyway, nice stuff some of those images should be on a few of the reviews on other sites (as well as this one in the media section) so people become true believers thus Sinners! :CONGRAT:
