Hmm.....I seem to have trouble downloading off your site. Any ETA on a mirror being put up?
What is the problem? We're triaging through 3 mirrors at the moment. If you hit the "Download this file Now!" link and it isn't working, try again and let me know.
Evaders99
Dreadnaught and Dreadnought are both accurate spellings.
Suggestions: feel free to post them Features/Ideas forum
I don't have any inside information or know the situation. Eville Jedi is helping out in many different mods, but I doubt he would be the one to shut one down. If anything, he'd give his help. As long as you credit him, he is more than willing to let you use his models. More than likely, the BSG company or creators shut down such mods as an infringement on their copyright.
Confirmed that it is working and extracting successfully now. :) Cheers!
Please use this download link.. it will help spread out the bandwidth pain on our server Download here
And here I was thinking this was Evile Jedi's fan page :) Good to see you too. I am working with Eville to make sure the next release goes out smoothly (and that we don't kill the server in the process for all the downloads) I am still awaiting that Ewok Assault game!
That's not a surprise.. Warlords was mostly an post-ROTJ era game. This iteration for Sins seems to be Clone Wars to Original Trilogy. Maybe Eville's saving room for a post-ROTJ mode :)
Wow, that ship list has some new ones. Those ones where you don't have a model yet, no surprise.. there's only a slight mention on Wookiepedia and no data on them. Stuff like http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wavecrest-class_frigate Are you planning on your own design Eville? Or something of a fan's design like http://swagonline.net/node/3455
He hasn't even though of making a PC version. I doubt Lucas is that far involved. The fact there isn't a PC version is a marketting / corporate decision. They are more concerned about their game being pirated, most companies would rather try to get as much sales of their console versions as possible. And then, if there is any more profit to be found, make a PC version. Everyone who already wanted the game has paid for the console version...
Eville needs to start a new topic, so this remains at the top http://warlords.swrebellion.com
I have a feeling that Eville's thoughts for HW2 Warlords also applies for SoaSE http://warlords.swrebellion.com/wp/?page_id=2 " What about hero units? I want Jedi!"
Want to help out? I quote from Eville Jedi: "do you have any experience with XSI or the sins file types? I could use some help in importing ships and getting them setup in game" http://warlords.swrebellion.com/smf/index.php/topic,100.15/topicseen.html
I think most of the models for EaW/FoC mods are from Eville Jedi :) He released a model pack that many mods use. So I don't think he needs help in that area. Rather, he needs people who know Sins modding and can put ships into the game.
Which is http://warlords.swrebellion.com
People asked for a release.. there was a release. Patience is needed while Eville Jedi makes it better. Heck, he could use the help. You can go to the official site - http://warlords.swrebellion.com - and help out, make reports for bugs, etc. Like Warlords for HW2, I expect slow but steady progress. You won't get quick rapid updates, after all Eville Jedi is just one man, but you will get consistency. Few projects last as long as Warlords, the Sins version will be no different.
There is no Rebel faction yet.. thus Sins of a Galactic Empire I believe on the forum, someone said they were using German version, and there is no German language file. If you are using a version other than English, you may need to follow here: http://warlords.swrebellion.com/smf/index.php/topic,278.msg2601.html
You must be properly patched.. up to v1.03 I believe
No one is saying you are wrong. Just saying that Warlords has historically has used Imperator - before it was rewritten into canon SW Expanded Universe (and subsequently, the wiki, etc). Ultimately it is up to Eville Jedi whether he decides to change this or not. And also, the domes are sensor domes... not shield generators. SWTC again, feel free to fight Eville Jedi about it.. he's a real SW fleet junkie. ;)
I know this has been addressed somewhere else with Warlords... but There will always been two sides to this issue. There are many people who prefer the usage of Imperator, as established through naval tradition and the Star Wars Technical Commentaries (SWTC). http://www.theforce.net/swtc/index.html You are correct that Lucas's direct canon sources have never used that term. The reference to Imperator was introduced in 2005's Revenge of the Sith: Incredible Cross-Sectio
Eville's models had to be converted down to use in Empire at War. Not that you can't get such details in the game, but it wouldn't play as well. I doubt you guys will see a release soon. It is a lot of work and I know EvilleJedi wants to get it right. He's organizing the team for the summer to get moving on this. For any news, you should keep checking the Warlords site at http://warlords.swrebellion.com Eville Jedi has a link to screenshots and an interview.
