Doh the rank system is such the obvious way to do it. Awesome idea (that I may want to steal...) :)

You should only use the EnabledMods.txt to load the mod. DO NOT USE THE IN-GAME MOD LOADER. It's in the mod install instructions.
Skyboxes won't be changed unless Nova decides to change them. The scale of ships has been addressed before. No, it will not be changed. It means less of the graphical details will show, but it fits the larger distance of ship battles the mod is intended to play.
Looks awesome, good job guys!
2 patches, but all your need is the cumulative patch from the previous page
Download all four parts, extract the first . It's a multi-part rar; aka. one single archive split up into four parts.

Where did you get the soundfiles for the CIS ? They seriusly make me laugh.
To answer the unanswered question, I got most of those from Galactic Battlegrounds. There's a lot of good voiceovers from there. I think I pulled some from Republic Commando and various other games
This is all thanks to Lavo, NovaCameron, sloosecannon - contributions by Warb_Null, GoaFan77, many others. Thanks guys! Two new racees, lots of abilities and bug fixes, more maps and scenario. Pretty epic release. And looking forward, more frequently release of patches, hopefully Rebellion expansion compatibility and more. For those in the beta test: you always get the most frequent development version. You do not need to redownload to play (althoug
Sweet flying rocks! I'm a big fan of NJO, so getting a full NR vs Vong into a game is exciting. Too bad there isn't more source material.. would love a true LucasArts NJO-era game. Afterwards, Legacy novels have been disappointing. And I don't even get into the Legacy comics, whole different storyline and basically undoes the entire Galactic Civil War storyline with the rise of the Sith again.
That's scary... by that I mean, AWESOME
You can certainly try to resize EVERY SINGLE MODEL... good luck :)
Ultimately that depends on what feedback we get on the beta and what issues we can get help addressing...
- If you want .... the new races (NR and Vong), new maps, new planet types, new abilities, research tweaks, bug fixes: beta test
One of the downsides, the descriptions are pretty vague. If someone wants to change them, we'd be happy to include those changes :)
For gameplay and balance akin to the original Sins, I recommend Star Wars Requiem mod While this mod uses the Sins engine, it deliberately does not follow the gameplay nor attempt to keep the scale at a graphical eye-candy level. To say we need to follow the movies... we don't. The movies just don't portray what we want - SOGE is really a game for masses of starships to duke it out. Eville Jedi designed it that wa
Essentially all work is done in the beta test - the includes the new races (NR and Vong), new maps, new planet types, new abilities, research tweaks, bug fixes. Hats off to Lavo and sloosecannon and others who are working it. However, we can certainly use more help and value the fans contributions. Absolutely JOIN THE BETA TEST if you want updates. There's no release because it's not ready to

Yes, the SWR server is down. Will let you know when it's back up.
^^ What he said. There were several iterations of SOGE that played with scale and size. Ultimately what was done is in 1.0E and later
Hey Frobond, Thanks for your thoughts. We do appreciate the feedback. This mod is trying to keep some realism in space combat. Yes, I know, it's hard to do this in a fantasy game in a fantasy universe. Most of the SW space battles generally involve ships duking it out at long range. It isn't necessarily the way it is portrayed in the movies, where most battles are shown as starfighters closing a short range. Rather, this is more like naval combat. <p
The size scaling of ships is designed for large SW battles. No, this will not be changed. It is a huge effort to change the sizes of all the models.
As posted earlier, here is the minidump fix . No estimate on the next release, beta is even more stable that the fix however, if you want to try that out.
Note: all the SOGE files are in Txt
New ships aren't being planned yet, but certainly possible. The NR and Vong give the mod more ships to consider in the NJO era, so possibly you'll see new additions to other races. With the super-capitals, we'll see ... maybe when the Rebellion expansion comes out, these could be Titan-class ships
