Yep, for whatever reason sometimes I can get lucky and get this mod to get along with large (300-400+ planet, 4-5+ star) maps, but most of the time it minidumps after 10 minutes or so.
You're doing better than I am. I havne't gotten more than maybe 3 minutes into any game without it minidumping :(

Then why would they be under the Installer section? Another program that does this kind of thing is the Microsoft Office suite - perhaps not the same section, but the same idea. I find it annoying too :(
Ok, one more time
I'm guessing you were too busy calling me an idiot to actually read. Maybe the holier then thou shit they feed you on linux forums went to your head, and you don't understand basic english. It's simple. Linux has become what people use to make themselves feel secure.
True, some people are like that. I am not one of them. I know that my system probably isn't locked down as tightly as it should be, but a blanket declaration that people use it
Linux is for people with no hardware firewalls, who turn to linux for security after their own personal failures making their own pc secure.
You sir, are an idiot. I have a hardware firewall, but I also run a software firewall on my Linux boxes. The fact that you don't see security as important makes you even more of a fool. The stickies really should be updated...
Glitch, see section 4, bulletpoint 1 in the instructions
Yup, saw that. But then I don't get the stuff listed in 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. Normally I'd just do it myself, but the files are all compiled, which makes it impossible to get just the changes I want.
This looks cool, but I strongly dislike the gameplay changes you've made. Is there a way we could get all the same visual effects changes (even the ones marked with a (1)) *without* the gameplay changes?
Send your fleet to the start, just like a normal move. Assuming there's a path to the current system's star they should find their way there.
I've just noticed a bug in the Empire Tree when paused: It happens when I pause the game and have a large number of planets (I had 24) colonized, or otherwise in your empire tree. In that case the bar works, but the new items (the ones that were offscreen initially) do not appear. I don't quite know where to post this, so here it is. In ASCII art: Start: - A B C D - Paused and scrolled up: - B C D [BLANK] - Paused and scrolled back d
It's got something to do with the version flag in the map. If it's set to 1 I get that error as well, if it's a 0 then the editor works fine. You'll just have to wait for a new version if you need it to happen automatically. Either that or chnage the thing manually.
