The new model is totally awesome! I mean i rocks, it really rocks! Thats the way a spaceship should look like. and really its making all the other TEC capships look bad ^^; I know that the KOl is the only real warship of the tec, but i really hope the others get an overhaul aswell to match that awesome style! Go KOL!

Vasari capital ships are missing the visual cue for leveling up Using the ability of the nano weapon jam structure causes an error. "Missing string nanoweaponbuff something" I had TEC ships jumping multiple times backwards or maybe just flying really fast out of the gravwell. I don´t really think that they were jumping because my ships went after them sublight. The Vasari light Carrier uses the voices of its TEC counterpart. When the Vasari Battleship
You can´t research the auto salvage technology, since it requires 2 points in the prior salvage tech, but that one only has one research level.
i really hope that a comfortable tool makes it into the final. good mod work can keep a game afloat for a long time! Please test these throughoutly, when DoW was first released (and sometimes even throughout the patches) the modmanager was broken and stuff and it was always a great pain in the a**
i thought the forge tools were simply for creating the mods (so its easy to create them) but not for using them. maybe we could get some official word what these forge tools include.
As SINS is probably going to see some pretty heavy modding action, it would be very cool if the game featured some kind of mod manager to easily select the files we want to play with. This would also reduce the problems with incompatible versions among players when online. A simple mod folder where you could create subfolders containing the single mods would essentially be enough. The ingame manager would then scan for these subfolders and display them. If a mod would be activate
does the orbiting planet block fleet movement or is it passable? in which axis is it orbiting? (looks like x axis) is it possible to combine two axes for the orbit process? Can things like asteorids orbit aswell and still be built upon?
with formations i mean the "thing" that the units do when you currently group them.
Currently the fleet takes its formation in the direction you have sent them. As we have ships with vastly different ranges we want out LRM ships with weak hp and hull in the back. The problem here is you can´t rotate a formation in a close space, as the game will always take the fleet center and the target point as measurement for the new direction the fleet will take. Many other games (and they are right this way) let you decide which way your formation should be facing after they h
Chapter three: Riddles He was able to enjoy the life in a big city a mere week before things got serious. During that time he and the other initiates, as the priests and other people in the black city called them, had a lazy life. They had no duties whatsoever, quite a change from what most of them were usually used too. The only thing the priests rigidly enforced was a strict curfew during the night. He didn´t think the capital could be such a bad place at night
exactly that! The refinery works similar to trade stations. It sends out refinery ships to asteorids to gather some res there (this works wether the spot is already depleted or not) Then they fly back to the refinery and unload there. If they make it through that route safely you get the ammount of metal or crystal they had on board to your disposal. Like tradeships refineryships can jump and also gather from asteorids not in the system the refinery is built. Each re
Chapter 2.5: Meeting of the minds A warm afternoon, a pleasant breeze and a birthday party, could there be a nice way to spend the evening? For the last five years Cachandras has given my birthday parties and they have always been a blast. The best thing is though, that he has invited me this time so i can experience it first handed. Well actually he has invited 3 of me, 2 of them girls, even posing as sisters. Its pretty obvious that he has invited them to entert
I know that this is probably due to the unfinished patching in beta 3, but really had a few annoying run ins about that in a MP Game against Multianna. Ships should really look a bit beforehand where they are going! First i had a construction frig stuck in an asteorid after finishing the construction. Didn´t notice until about 5 minutes later why nothing was getting done. Had to scrap it and wait for it to rebuild to free it. (does scraping Levs gives money btw? <img src="s
Chapter 2: Ascension My father always said i would have a great future, "it runs in the family" he said. It was true that our family had more gifted children than others, but other than that we were nothing out of the ordinary. My brothers and sisters never understood why only gifted children could become priests to Anon, i did neither. At the young age of 12 my father took me to the great capital as it was requested by all gifted people who reached that age. I ca

Sorry about the style and bits, as said its a WIP and this way its easier for me to find certain passages if i need to change something ^^ The later story is still kinda in flow and sometimes it changes parts early on As for the miner: Thats how religion works: exaggeration!
While the people of haven live in peace and prosperity the past has not always been peaceful. The Titan is havens society not really a warship anymore, although it can´t hide its ancestry. It is more a custodian and keeper of knowledge. The Titan design itself was created during the 2nd Empire of man, something that nowaday would be called the golden age. Mankind was at the pinnacle of their game then. It was after the AI wars (The remnants of the renegade AI fleet had been
I´ll post one chapter per day, so you have time to comment or ask questions.
Chapter one: A day in the city Let me tell you a story: Some would say its a fairytale so i could begin like "Once upon a time...", but others would say its history so i should begin with something like "In B.C.60000...". The thing is, i remember it as if it were just yesterday so i´ll begin like this: I woke up as the first rays of the sun touched my skin. It was early morning and the air was still cold and clear. The sun had crept just above t
Prologue: 23rd Hayday The glowing glyphs on the obsidian Pyramid were steadily counting the time. They had been doing it since before he was born. As he walked down the steep steps into the sacred chamber he could feel his crested robe heavy on his shoulders. The cold stone under his bare feet bore a faint layer of fine dust as it had since the ages, the steps of many high priests before him clearly visible on the ground. He was getting old and that very f
I think it would be very nice to preview your posts before posting to see if everything fits the way you like it. Preview button pls Also very nice would be a spellchecker option. Currently it doesn´t seem that much of an issue but when SINS gets closer to release date there will be much more people active in the Forums and then we might need such an option.
Mhh, this might be of interest for some of you folks This is Alan, one of the main characters in a novel i am currently writing. Alan is a self concious spaceship, made by a merging of a human conciousness with an advanced AI system, produced after plans from the 2nd empire of man. P5yy if you´d run out of one res but don´t want to stall, you can simply buy that one on the black market if you need the construction done now, its really just like the current system, only that later on it needs less waiting on the player side. Instead of waiting he just has to look for shortages and then corrects them. If you see a shortage in crystals for example that would also give you incentive to retake that omnious ice planet, indirectly giving you directions where to you s
I find it way more annoying to wait till i have 3000 credits so i can finally begin construction. As for P5yy: how many shipyards or planets where you have actually constructing in a game? i never had more than 4 small shipyards and one large at a single time, with maybe two planets needing development at the spot. So that is at max lets say 10 things that are under construction at the same time. How hard is it to manage 10 production places when you can also micromanage a
The system wouldnt work for Sins because people will most likely stall their production with either too long build queues or with too many things being built. It will make the game too hard.
If people can´t prioritize its their problem then, right? I have played rounds in TA where i was completly broke for minutes and nothing got done. I got pounded for it and learned ^^ Is it really that much to ask from players t
