I feel sorry for Will Wright and co, because in my opinion EA messed them around: 1. I think Maxis probably hate DRM but its being forced upon them by EA 2. While Spore is a good game, I think it would have been even better had EA not forced a release date on Maxis months in advance. The reason Blizzard (and Stardock/Ironclad of course) games are pretty much perfect when they are released is that they know they are done when they release them. &nbs

I find that the factions are just a bit too similar - each one has different versions of the same ship. Techs don't do enough - it seems a bit futile to build loads of research platforms etc and end up only getting say a 5% increase in shields etc

I come from a predominantly Christian family, yet we are unanimous in saying that intelligent design is most definitely not science. I am curious why people think evolution is not proven - their is more evidence for it than almost any other theory in existence. Intelligent design is a reactionary idea coming from the camp that believes that science and religion cannot live side by side. I cannot disagree with this more. There is no scientific evidence for intelligent design, therefore by sci

I just invade with two carriers, a few light carriers and some frigates etc. They're not so weak when there's a swarm of about 50 bombers and 20 or so fighters. Ah, the fun of sitting back and watching the enemy explode in clouds of debris. Aside from that, you may indeed have a point regarding speed, but I'm not one to judge.

17. Still clinging on to childhood. I'm sure my parents will tell me I'm to old for computer games as soon as I turn 18

Read what I said: My computer doesn't have 128MB RAM, that's what the minimum requirements for the gmae want. My computer has 256MB system RAM and 256MB video card RAM

May I put in a last minute request for an option to 'forget' ship designs not put in templates when you start a new game. I get annoyed when old and for all my intents and purposes pointless ship designs of mine clog up the shipyard in another game and I have to delete each one individually. I understand that some people like to use their old ships, which is why I'm suggesting it as a game option. If there already is such an option which I've missed, feel free to pay this post

I never give up until I really do have nothing left to get, and am absolutely sure there are no good planets left. For example, I was out-colonised at the beginning of one game after choosing the wrong star systems, and ended up with my class 10 homeworld and a class 6 planet in a neighbouring star system. I was about to give up when I noticed one star system left. I sent along a colony ship and what did I find? A class 18 with a Precursor Mine! Won spectacularly in the end.

I know I have mentioned this in its own thread, but I thought here would also be appropriate for me to lobby for a future patch that includes an option whereby which ship designs from old games you play don't reappear in new games for the same race. Is that possible? I don't actually know but it would be good for people who don't like old designs reappearing in games where they are effectively useless.

I always like to start each new game from scratch and adapt my gameplay to suit events that occur. So is there any way of preventing ship designs from old games from reappearing in late games when I research the technologies for them? This was especially annoying during one game where about 7 versions of a fighter that was ideal in a previous game, but was next to useless in my current game, kept turning up on my shipyard list. I thought about deleting them from the data files,
