New Computer Download Help in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I seem to remember that as a digital download game, if I changed computer, I would be able to re-download the game for my new machine. I'm probably being a plonker, but how do I download my game? I had it on my old computer but can't find where to get it from. I've downloaded stardock central, which recognises that I purchased the game, but gives an error message and can't download. Personally, I hope that the EG doesn`t get cut. I have no idea about programming, so I don`t know about the problems involved. I must admit, I haven`t played for a while (since football manager 2007 came out!), but DA has been what I`ve been looking forward to to get back into GCII. I will still buy the expansion because I love the game, but the Epic generator was one of the main things I was looking forward to. That aside, keep up the good work!

I`m in the UK and every bank card I`ve ever had has had a shiny little visa symbol on it. Shouldn`t be a problem, your bank will convert £ into $.

That definately wasn`t needed! I use core ships to defend my planets, because my own ships are a lot more expensive, and speedy enough to get round my empire quickly, so it seems a bit of waste having them do nothing in orbit.

I know, it`s not important, just thought I`d let you know if you haven`t been told already. The word "Aluminum" is missing at least 1 "I" in the first of the miniballs blurb. 2 "I"`s if you`re English like me!

On the subject of updates, a big thumbs up to the Stardock people for all that they do. Not many games get this sort of after sales service for free, and I find it annoying the amount of criticism they get on the forums, when all they have done is an excellent job!

On the foreign relations screen, a minus point for my relations with other races is always "-militaristic". This is the first game where I have had a smaller military than my neighbours, but its still there. What does it mean then?

Rendorax, whilst you have no doubt raised some valid points here, one thing escapes me. If you hate the game this much, why do you keep playing? Personally I would like to congratulate the people working on this game for their hard work, despite the critisicm from people who appear to moan for little, or no reason at all.

A bit sad? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Just got this of the society game website: "We have one full game development team presently at Stardock. Right now they're working on the expansion pack for Galactic Civilizations II. Then they will be working on The Political Machine and other expansion packs for GalCiv II." Am I a little bit of a saddo for getting excited about more expansion packs before the first one is out?
