I ask forgiveness to all for my posts yes they are mostly speculative and not based on proper math or any development experience. all I was trying to say is that I don’t think the deves will put them in now because of previously posted resons that i dont need to qoute And I THINK that they were left out to make the game a bit more compatible with older machines I will now re read the entire blog to see were I went wrong in my posts. Next at the risk of sounding touchy feely
Hi all :d On the subject of super weapons I must be honest and say I DONT like them, they usually are overpowered and ruin the game for people who are doing less well economically in it, by removing any chance they have to counter the opposing sides regular troops, ;p (even if you can wipe out his fleet he’s still got the uber gun guess we may as well decide ive lost) it just seems to be a hope killer. HOWEVER I do realize this is my own view and not the view of others SO I don’t
We probably won't be animating turrets at all since I'm told it will require us to redo all the meshes or some such on all the models. That's way too much time, effort and money for too little gain.
I’m sure that is a reply to the request for a patch to animate the turrets after the game has been released and not as to why they left it out in the first place
hi there hefly when combined with the scale of the game it is something else that the cpu has to calculate. what i was tiring to say is that, the scale of this game is far larger than the scale of any home world game and as a result it has allot more to calculate, so, it makes the moving turret theory taking up to much calculation time on a slow machine plausible, when combined with all the other things the cpu has to do. Then add the sheer scale of armies in this game compared to
hi all  im shure the deves get a good laugh out of reading this and who knows maybe some ideas way to go keeping the devs inspired lol boy it was a good read. personally i like the tellytubbies idea but one question Were are the pink space ponies in all this. :d
Hi all one thing I think we forgetting is in home world the cpu did not have to also deal with income from a vast empire and all the ai that goes with that as well as pirates and black market as well. The map size of home world and home world 2 and home world cataclysm well local, ie you jump into a prerenderd map and that’s it you did not go from different planet to planet or have defence turrets to deal with or economic infrastructure as large and as complicated as this games as w
man I LOVED rebellion wasted a good few months with that game i think i t was on of the first pseudo retime space games there was interface took allot of getting used to though :d ahhh good memories :)
Here http://blogs.ign.com/Stardock_Games/2008/02/01/79094/ something else that nasty console market is up to game developers are constantly upping the min game specs. So that people with older machines HAVE to upgrade and when most ignorant consumers are faced with they choice of upgrade the buy a console because of the game support for x years and the games come out earlier as a result when game sales on the pc side drop developers the cause of the problem say you, see we were right co
Don't worry, you'll be spared the squawking in the final
 I must say the beta voice over’s aren’t that bad in fact i don’t think ive heard a game with sound this well done in agg probably 5 to 6 years keep up the truly awesome work ps just found on oog player hehe now i get to listen to the game music all day long :CONGRAT:
most people who do buy consoles these days are looking for quick thrills, or to trash-talk like delinquent and often grammatically retarded children on-line.
LOL could not have said it beter myself
WOW do you guys ever sleep that was a fast reply thanks looking forward to playing the full game :CONGRAT:
yet another amazing show of integrity and courage I respect you guys that is one of the fundamental reasons why pc games have become more flashy and have less real content or fetures. rainbow 6 one example in the first few you used to be able to create routs and plan your assault on a minimap as well as programing you ai team mates prior to playing the map later those feature was dropped because it had to go to console and the console did not have enough keys to cope with those
hi every one bought the game last night and have been playing beta 4 after i haveing experiance in playing beta 3 It appears that while in beta 3 you could sell your crystals and minerals at any time, no mater how many you had or did not have. While in beta 4 it appears that you can only sell if you have a set amount i.e. 100 200 300 and so forth in denominations of 100 I was just wondering if it was done like this on purpose for balance as i just found it a bit frustrating being out bid
i do have one question about the sound and was it recorded in a studio or was it all done on a pc by one poor guy whipped and force fed only with penuts and nicknacks
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA  oh boy that was a verry good read made no sense at all but hell it was funny
just wach the online time counter i do belive it includes hours [link="https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/"]WWW Link[/link]
the devs are lazy, you need to understand this
you can call the devs many things but not lazy ;)
Hi all I myself don’t post often but in this case it merits a post just F.y.i IV have been a gamer for about 10-15 years now. All copy protection that has ever been released has been cracked and relatively easily as well, copy protection is not the way forward as it is an ineffective archaic system and needs to be removed its only getting worse Well done to stardock for the stand they made with galciv 2 And also now with soase this system is a far better alternative and tre

Hi there everyone, I myself originally heard about sins about one year ago if not longer and thought agg this too good to be true. Recently I managed to get a hold of a beta 3 version, which then got me interested in the game again, and over the past 6 days ive been reading the forums, wow there is allot of posts, anyhow I digress, what I actually when to say is that it is amassing what everyone here has accomplished. My hat goes off to the developer who has not only monitored the forums but
