This clearly is not the game for you. Move on. There's no such thing as a 'quick' 4x. BUT this game is a RTS , not 4x... it does have 4x elements.
:SURPRISED: UUUUhhhh do you realise what you just said :NOTSURE: it is the first and to my knowlage only realtime 4x game please to explain your statement as i am confuzzeld as a drunk ant on a disco light
hi all Blair don’t take it to hard the more I monitor these forums the more I realise the game has gone public and its got to people who find new things bad because they don’t understand or counter them attitudes need adjustment patience needs to be implemented I myself have been at the business end of pirates because I could not outbid my team mates and it pissed me off but then again I was on the giving end with them and I enjoyed it. Its all about at
YOU are the story and the campain how your sand box game ends is how the story ends thats how i took it :)
Makes no sense. As it has been stated before, once you researched it, you've researched it. That's like saying because I don't know how a gun works I can't shoot it. Completely irrational, while I understand from a gameplay point of view, it takes so long to research that far up the tree's, by the time they have all of one type researched, they will be so lacking in the other department I doubt they will actually be a threat.
its a game mechanic the devs introduced to st
hi there AdamaCaprica as i understand it there is already a speed seting slider in the game for reaserch mony and general game speed so that leaves me pondering your request HUH???? ;p :d :NOTSURE:
for this game i would first get a better g.card say is that a single core cpu or a dulecore and would you happen to know what socet it fits into (socet a or am2 ect ect) cuse if its an old cpu (socet a then you probalby beter off buying a new motherboard and cpu) but then youll have to get new ram as well either way id do the graphics first just my 2 cents
just found out there is a poll happening to adress or leave the issue of speed
Awsome thanks for the reply sorry for the needles post then ps how do i fine it
hi there everyone I am in need of technically minded individuals who are good at creating a poll as i have noticed some complaints about the fastest speed of the game still being to slow or the game itself being to slow and would like to run a poll to see what percentage of people agree how do I do it any help on this mater would be greatly appreciated

yet more proof of just how much of a spectacular job the devs and the beta (beater) testers did well don guys you deserve the report
okay fair enough i all the games i have played it usually takes about 30min to get setup with 1 colony that includes scouting and a few skirmishes and my reserch then again my group of 4 usually plays on tiny maps to speed up confrontation and tactics and limit resorses and forces us to REALLY think about what we want to reserch for ships the beginning of the game for me is critical trying to colonise a new place deciding were and what purchase what to research and what future needs ar
Here is were i throw in my 2 cents keithLamothe i could not have said it beter myself :CONGRAT: stardock/ironclad no 1 :CONGRAT:
I like how the elitist fan base of this game can't read and comprehend someone's points without mocking him
please name calling and insult throwing will only enrage people cut it out there are lots of ways to express yourself without resorting to this tactic
1 Yes - the game is too slow. That does not mean 'make it a fast game.' It means the game is too slow.
please elaborate (explain further) ps here is an opinion
:D NOW here is why i really like these forums a joint community effort to try solve a joint community problem and what’s more the devs are actually listening to it :CONGRAT: BRILLIANT :CONGRAT: ps there should be a leave as is option though in all fairness :HOT:
reread reply #4 :SURPRISED: now feel like idiot sorry all

hi all :d Yes I must say is rather daft especially when you are on smaller maps with only a few planets I do hope that ironclad devs change this or release a good reason as to its being like this in the first place.
It's frustrating because when C&C3 was released people complained it was the same old game just with shiny new graphics, stardock try something new and people bark they want the old kind of gameplay. This is the problem with the games industry at the minute and exactly the reason why Stardock don't have a publisher for this game in the EU yet.
I could not agree more and its this attitude of gamers not knowing what they want that has allowed the gaming industry to ta
great io cant seem to edit my post so now i have to double post has anyone else seen this happen with other units or at all let me know thanks
Looking for a tactical reason to move? Easy, many Cap ships have guns along their broadsides, they switch to a (Naval) broadside bombardment stance, their guns have a cooldown/reload time... so simply have them rotate, left side fire, rotate, right side fire etc. Depending on rotate speed could be something like a 50% firepower improvement.
i have seen the one capitol ship do this actually i forget its name but its the colonisation one at first i thought waight
2) Real world naval battles are (or were) very much a matter of manuever and position. Much modern sci-fi has taken up that notion as a way to represent starship warfare (thanks Nicholas Meyer).
;p hi there cigaunt let me know if im wrong you like it in because you like the way it would look (just trying to understand whay your post is about) on a personal note I like my ships and the way tey fight the last thing i want is my 200 frigets to b
