Yeah, it's all incumbent on a kill/experience-tracking system that I realize might be a real pain to implement. I also kind of got carried away with the decal business; the real action for me would be subtitles and bonuses, especially the kill-based ones. But the details get troublesome: how do kills accrue? Are they trackable? But if there were already a secret kill-tracking system (possibly related to the xp tracker) and that kill-tracker could trigger flags, and those flags coul

Playing the beta (and needless to say really liking it) I've come up with a couple of things I think would make capital ships even neater. Or one fairly big thing, but with subpoints: Event-based leveling! My thought here is that in addition to the normal xp-based advancement, it would be really neat if capital ships could gain abilities based on what they've done in the game, like a certain amount of damage done to planets (or planets razed) would give a bonus to future planetary bom
