I assume that's how Yarlen understood it as well.
Indeed, don't think there's a lot of room for interpretation tbh, but for clarity I would compare it to the "Revolution" ability in Age of Empires 3, though in Sins I would assume you wouldn't be as limited as you are in AoE3.
Mighty Mongoose
Always imagined it was something like "Trader Defence Navy". Either way, when renaming my Cap ships, I drop any form of lettered prefix.
Eek, weird forum error, if the mods could tidy it up?
Indeed, PC gaming's time honoured advantages of higher performance and greater customisability just aren't enough anymore in this climate of "good enough" consoles available for a fraction of the price and with less knowledge of the hardware required to use. Plus, PC games come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and we all know how hard IC have bent over backwards to make Sins as compatible as possible, but other studios just plain don't do that half the time. With consoles you can almost alwa

Brilliant thanks, pre-ordered now [e digicons][/e]
How does one obtain the discount? I haven't come across a page that allows me to enter my Diplomacy registration and the "Upgrade from a previous version" text in the store isn't a link?
Totally, and it seems to be a running theme that IC alter the colour schemes and tweak the configuration of this chap's designs to fit in more with the art style of the game.
When I first saw this I thought it was fake, looked a bit too Homeworld-y for Sins, then I realised I had seen this art style somewhere in relation to Sins before and lo and behold it was him (though he hasn't sorted it into that gallery). That image is here in nice wallpapery resolution.
Bombers already have a counter in the form of Flak frigates. Regardless of how effective you think they are (opinion varies) they're there. I think Corvettes will most likely be some form of Monitor type ship, a small lightly armoured ship with disproportionately large guns.
Quoting Mighty Mongoose, reply 125 Oooh, this honestly keeps on getting better. Any ballpark idea about the System Requirements yet? Same as Sins or slightly higher? Don't know yet, but if you can run Trinity/Diplomacy, you should be able to run Rebellion.
Cool cool, that's basically what I thought anyway.
Pre-order options will be available tomorrow morning (if not sooner). We're just getting the discount stuff in place for existing Trinity/Diplomacy folks.
Oooh, this honestly keeps on getting better. Any ballpark idea about the System Requirements yet?
I wonder if the Titans will kill off fleets via an effect similar to the Death Blossom in The Last Starfighter.
Been wondering that myself, most Human vs Human Sins games tend to involve two armadas clashing, and calling primary on a single priority target. Will be interesting to see how Titans counter this (though I must admit, Starbases do it pretty well).
Most excellent, after all these years nothing can still quite beat a good game of Sins on a lazy afternoon, or in a lecture.... And IMO, the lack of multi threading is no biggy, it would be an enormous overhead for the testers and there are far too many obstacles standing in the way. Must admit, I was excited to see a new Sins announcement in my news feed, but I think I might have geeked out when I read about the new factions...and Corvettes...and Titans... I would est
There certainly are a lot of people here now...mah well...gone are the days when two dozen of us could sit our corner of the internet and plot world domination
Kirk would have kicked Sisko's ass...

Sisko would kill Kirk.
For so many years the Picard vs. Kirk debate has raged. It has become an internet institution. I feel privileged to be present at the birth of another one.
It is, there is a big hooha about it among Trek fans, and the producers have confirmed their having Enterprise built at a drydock in San Francisco. I for one don't care whether its built in Space or Drydock, since it has less effect on the story than a Goldfish hiccupping on Mars has to my credit rating.
:SURPRISED: :SNIFF!:
I don't think the box floats
Damn, and I was gonna row across the Atlantic with it too...
You've resurrected a long dead thread. Resurrecting spirits from the dead was called Necromancy, although in the actual act they are resurrected to predict the future(?) The modern interpretation however is the manipulation of death.
^^ Don't know much 'bout Monty Python, do he?
Oh contraire, I think I've seen it inside and out, I was in fact talking about how Doctor Breen should've had an English accent, since one of the character models used was in fact Doctor Breen and the accent suited it well.
Doctor Breen should've had an English accent, more villainish.
If you use an optical mouse, ditch the mousepad. If you don't use an optical mouse, get one.
I do use an optical mouse, and I don't have a mousepad, I just used mousepad to refer to the area where the mouse is. Force of habit... :NOTSURE:
Um, how do you play FPS without a mouse?
I like mice for Flight and Space simulation games, but not for FPS's, I like the idea of not having to move my wrist of whole arm when I just want to look around a corner. Also, with games like Crysis, using the mouse diverts some (much needed) attention away from the keyboard, hampering my abilities to use the super detailed controls. Having all controls in one neat, compact place for me is much better.
An
you can't have sins on time and kangaroos ...
Yes because that would be madness, hand over the Kangaroos and we'll consider letting Sins go down under a little earlier.
